Exorbitant hikes in electricity and natural gas lately are on the agenda of all of Turkey.
Citizens reacting to the natural gas and electricity restrictions on industrial establishments have become unable to tolerate even housing bills anymore.
The Felicity (Saadet) Party Antalya Provincial President Ramazan Düzen, who issued a press statement regarding the hikes in electricity and natural gas, made important statements.
Speaking at the press conference organized by Saadet Party Antalya Provincial Presidency with the participation of many media members, Ramazan Düzen expressed the problems caused by the restriction of natural gas and electricity, especially for industrial establishments.
“COSTS OF INDUSTRIAL INSTITUTIONS WILL INCREASED”
Speaking in the press statement about the 40 percent cut in natural gas used in industry and electricity production, Saadet Party Antalya Provincial President Ramazan Saadet, "The costs of industrial establishments, which will have to use more expensive energy sources due to natural gas restrictions, will increase. Even industrial establishments that can export their production and have foreign exchange-based income; are experiencing financial problems due to the inability to calculate their energy costs. Apart from the high energy costs, the economic indicators will decline further with the crisis in the energy supply," he said.
"ADDITIONAL MEASURES NEED TO BE TAKEN"
Saying that the industrialists demand a solution to the exorbitantly increasing energy costs, "BOTAŞ Natural Gas Wholesale Department signed a decision that would disrupt industrial production to a large extent. In the statement made, it was announced that as of 08:00 on Friday, January 21, 2022, gas flow to all factories, especially Organized Industrial Zones, will be limited. Due to the increase in natural gas consumption due to seasonal conditions and the natural gas interruption from foreign supply sources, difficulties were experienced in maintaining the supply-demand balance, and it was necessary to take additional measures to overcome these problems, as the reason for the restriction that would cause great problems in every field," he added.
