During the two-day period of the 4th International Necmettin Erbakan and National Vision (Milli Görüş) Symposium held in Ankara Hacı Bayram University Itri Conference Hall under the leadership of ESAM, many academicians gave speeches in 9 sessions, both physically and online.

Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroğlu, former Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs, delivered a speech titled "The Role of Necmettin Erbakan in the Development of Industry in Turkey".

"Erbakan Hodja is one of the most important scientists for Turkey. Especially after the second world war, Germany asked our teacher Erbakan to work. The work of Erbakan Hodja made a big impact in the scientific circles in Germany. A great effort was made to prevent our Erbakan Hodja from becoming a professor. Our teacher Erbakan was the first person to come up with the idea of automobiles in Turkey. There was an inferiority complex in Turkey. This understanding was destroyed by Erbakan Hodja. Erbakan Hodja has a lot of effort in the industrial moves in Turkey today. The person who insisted on the conquest of Cyprus is the late Erbakan, so the conqueror of Cyprus is Erbakan Hodja. Our Hodja had a very colorful personality. Sometimes his name is mentioned everywhere in his recent political history with his humorous style, hard work, and conciliatory attitude. During his political life, 4 parties were closed and he was imprisoned, but he continued to work until the end of his life," he said.

"ERBAKAN CARRIED OUT WORKS FOR ISLAMIC COUNTRIES TO BE UNITED"

Assoc. Dr. Necmettin Çalışkan, in his speech titled "Erbakan's Understanding of Islamic Unity and Syria Policy", drew attention to the paths followed by Erbakan in his political life, "Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, the founder of the National Vision Movement, shapes his projects and actions on two main goals, which he expresses with the slogans 'Greater Turkey Again' and 'A New World'. According to Erbakan, it is necessary to develop materially and spiritually in order to reach the first goal, and to establish Islamic unity in order to reach the second goal. Erbakan has constantly defended the need to come together around Islamic unity as soon as possible in order to get rid of the exploitation, oppression and all kinds of oppression of Muslim countries, imperialism and Zionism. During his time in power, he practically pioneered many actions, especially the D-8, which is accepted as the core of the Islamic Union. It is obvious that Erbakan warned beforehand about the strategies that the racist imperialist powers tried to implement in Syria and he was justified in these warnings," he said.

Emphasizing that he was doing research on Erbakan Hodja in the archives of Istanbul Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alaittin Arpacı gave a speech on Erbakan's educational life under the title 'The Man Who Brings Science and Industry Together: Necmettin Erbakan'.

"I knew the late Erbakan, but I could not reach his deanship. Although Erbakan was a successful student in high school, he took the exam and succeeded in entering the top 10 among 2,000 students. Even those unfamiliar with his world of faith could not escape his intelligence and diligence. Although he was an assistant at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), he continued his studies by taking classes with special permission. Despite all the obstacles, he became the youngest associate professor in Turkey at the age of only 27. Although people generally specialize in a single subject, Erbakan specializes in many subjects. Erbakan Hodja was a man of both theory and practice," he said.
