Speaking at ESAM Wednesday Conferences, Rector of OSTİM Technical University Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek emphasized the importance of industrialization.

Underlining the necessity of industrial policy for the development of the countries, Yülek said that it is Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, who implements industrial policies in our country.

"Turkey is in crisis for failing to industrial production. Unfortunately, Turkey is integrated into the import side of the trade system. Turkey is trying to development using imported products," he said.

"INDUSTRY OF COUNTRIES WITH EFFECTIVE TRADE"

Yülek started his speech by giving information about the rise of nations and shared striking examples about the history of colonialism.

Yülek providing information about world trade rates, emphasizing that the industry is very important, said that the industry of countries that are effective in world trade is strong. Making cross-sector comparisons, Yülek added that 80 percent of the people working in the US working in the service sector, while the remaining 12 percent of the people working in the industrial sector. However, efficiency between service and industrial sector is much higher in industrial sector. So the main feature of the industrial sector is productivity rather than employment creation.

"NO ISLAMIC COUNTRY AMONG DEVELOPED COUNTRIES"

Noting that there are no Islamic countries among the developed countries, Yülek said: "I want to explain this with the example of Niger. Niger is a country that produces and exports tomatoes. France is the country where Niger exports tomatoes. France, on the other hand, produces and serves ketchup with this product, which makes it more efficient than tomato. This is the reason for the importance of industry and the backwardness of Islamic countries. Islamic countries that have underground mines do not benefit from these mines and export them in raw form. This is a non-efficiency method."
