22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was detained by the morality police in Iran for not obeying the headscarf rules, fell ill during the detention and was taken to the hospital.
Amini died of a heart attack. After Mahsa Amini's death, protests were held in Iran, and the events had reached serious dimensions.
The demonstrations, which started after Amini's funeral in her hometown of Sakkız on September 17, spread to many cities of the country.
Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who made a statement after the events in question, stated that Amini's death was a "painful event" and that the protests were planned and not organized by "ordinary Iranians".
Khamenei said, “These riots and creating a security problem are a project of the USA and the Zionist (Israeli) regime. Some Iranian traitors abroad, who were paid by them, helped them."
IS THE USA AND ISRAEL BEHIND THE EVENTS IN IRAN?
Iran's leader, Khamenei, recently attended the joint graduation ceremony of the armed forces students held at the Imam Hasan Mujtaba, Officer and Police Education University in the capital Tehran and made statements about the protest actions that took place after the death of Mahsa Amini.
Noting that the Western powers are aiming to divide Iran over the regime opponents, Khamenei said, "The secret goal of the enemies, who have declared that we do not intend to attack Iran and change the regime, is to provoke some excited types by revolting in the country and destroying the atmosphere of trust. Attempts against the armed forces are made for the security of the country. Those who attacked the police stations, the Basic (militia forces) headquarters or verbally attacked the Iranian Army or the Revolutionary Guards Army attacked the security of the country."
"THE USA AND ISRAEL ARE TRYING TO USE THE EVENTS"
Iranian journalist Masoud Sadr made evaluations to the Milli Gazete on the events that took place in Iran after Mahsa Amini's death.
Noting that there are certain cases of restriction of freedoms in the country, Sadr also stated that foreign-linked formations are related to the protest actions.
Sadr, on the subject, "There are groups that act as pawns and henchmen of the USA and Israel by using the current conditions in Iran. These groups get involved. The USA, Israel and the opposition inside the country are trying to use these events. Their aim is to overthrow the regime in Iran," he said.
