This blessed month is spent sadly in East Turkestan under the persecution of China. East Turkestan activist Abdullah Oğuz told the Milli Gazete what our Muslim brothers went through in East Turkestan, where worship is forbidden and even Islamic words cannot be used.
"OUR BROTHERS IN EASTERN TURKISTAN CANNOT FAST, CANNOT Worship"
We welcome Ramadan with our families and comfortably, and spend this blessed month in peace. How is this blessed month experienced in East Turkestan, where worship is prohibited under the persecution of China?
The month of Ramadan is the most precious time for Muslims to reckon with the past year, to get closer to Allah. In Ramadan, which we all look forward to, our brothers in East Turkestan cannot meet Ramadan, fast or pray. Fulfilling even the slightest requirement of Islam is considered a sufficient crime to be thrown into concentration camps. The red terror state considers Islam as a mental illness, not fasting, prayer and worship. This is how East Turkestan will enter Ramadan.
“TODAY THEY CAN'T EVEN TELL THE NAME OF RAMADAN”
How to prepare for the month of Ramadan in East Turkestan in the past, how was the month of Ramadan?
East Turkestan has been fighting for existence and independence for 250 years. Thank God, there were times when we were independent and lived our religious life freely. Between 1980 and 1990 was a time when China showed that there were freedoms to deceive the world. Uyghur Muslims are people who are fond of worship. Tarawih prayers were performed with hatim, even a few hatims. This blessed month was spent with worship, charity and help. Unfortunately, today they can't even mention the name of Ramadan.
“THE ENEMIES OF ISLAM ARE IMPLEMENTING OPPRESSIONS AROUND THE WORLD”
Another Ramadan passes with the sadness of the Islamic geography. East Turkestan, Syria, Arakan, Kashmir, Palestine and many more… What would you say about the blood and tears in the Islamic geography, in particular East Turkestan?
The imperialist powers, the Chinese and the Western powers, the enemies of Islam, have divided, polarized and differentiated us. They have weakened us by making each other hostile. Someone is silent about East Turkestan because of its trade relations with China, someone does not speak up in Kashmir so as not to disturb India. One remains silent on Palestine, fearing the economic lobby of America and Israel. Thus, all the oppressed remain on their own. The enemies of Islam are dividing us into pieces and persecuting us all over the world. We can only come out of here by being aware of the fact that Allah has made all believers brothers, by supporting each other without making any discrimination or putting any benefit on each other's problems.
