Former rear admiral and mastermind of the Turkish concept Blue Homeland Cihat Yaycı drew attention to the events in the Eastern Mediterranean. Regarding the seismic survey and drilling tender in the area up to the Libya Agreement line

"The 90-day period expired on August 30, 2020 and the license still has not been given to TPAO here. As it is not given, is it now the effect of the negotiations with the European Union? So-called negotiations with Greece? Until September, Oruç Reis seismic research vessel is in Antalya Bay. In other words, it was reported by navtex that it will conduct a seismic survey in the area envisaged on the Seville map. This made us very sad! It is very upsetting... If we have drawn this line (Libya-Turkey EEZ area) and we are not doing any activity on this line (seismic research and drilling activities), this agreement will be invalid. Greece has two main diplomatic purposes. The first is to render the Libya-Turkey agreement obsolete and abolish it, and the second is to put an end to the Turkish presence in Libya. Unfortunately, Greece is progressing rapidly towards these goals," Yayci said.

“OUR DISCLAIMS DO NOT GO BEYOND THE THEORY”

"Blue Homeland becomes Blue Homeland when seismic research and drilling activities are carried out beyond slogans. Without our energy activities, our discourses would not go beyond theory. Turkey has taken an upright stance in the Eastern Mediterranean so far. After all, behind all the threats of sanctions, the issue of the Eastern Mediterranean is brought to the agenda. This is the price of standing upright. Without this upright stance, we will lose the Eastern Mediterranean," Yayci added.
