This year, we thought of the Aegean. We know that foreign powers that constantly pressure Turkey in Cyprus, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea, and that want to corner Turkey, have short, medium and long-term plans. What should we do then? However, we are turning these conferences into a book, based on the logic that words will fly away. In this regard, Our teacher Ahmet Zeki Bulunç has a great effort. We thank him very much. God bless him."

I would like to thank our esteemed ambassador Ahmet Zeki Bulunç, who accepted our invitation to provide us with exceptional information on this agenda, and everyone who cooperated for this sacred cause," he said.
“WE HAVE STRONG FOUNDATIONS IN NATIONAL LAW”
The speaker of the conference, former TRNC Ambassador to Ankara Ahmet Zeki Bulunç, "The Aegean issue has a content with legal and political dimensions. When we consider our Ottoman sovereignty rights and the Treaty of Lausanne, we have strong foundations in terms of international law. The Aegean Sea is very important for us in terms of political, economic, transportation, strategic and security aspects. The Aegean Sea is not only a sea route for Turkey, but also of great importance in terms of air transportation, national, military, political, economic, geographical, geopolitical and strategic aspects," he added.
“GREECE WANTS TO TURN THE AEGEAN SEA INTO A GREEK LAKE”
"Greece wants to turn the Aegean Sea into a Greek lake by taking advantage of its physical and political geography," said Ahmet Zeki Bulunç.
"The main Aegean problems currently existing between Turkey and Greece; territorial waters, the continental shelf, the exclusive economic zone, the demilitarization of the islands, the violation of the Lausanne Peace Treaty, the airspace and the fringe lines. There is no maritime border drawn in the Aegean between Turkey and Greece. This is important for all Aegean disputes, except for the issue of demilitarization of the islands," Bulunç said.
