The exhibition includes oil on canvas and three-dimensional fabric works from every period of the master artist's 40-year art life.
Making a statement to the Anatolian Agency (AA) correspondent regarding the exhibition, Karadağ said that the artists needed to improve their technique and vision over the years. Noting that she presents a special selection from different periods and series to art lovers, Gülcan Karadağ said, "The painter has a lot to feed on. He-she needs to read and research a lot, that is, he-she needs to produce alternatives while expressing his-her feelings. He-she needs to develop his-her own language so that he-she does not look like anyone else. That's why you have to have the observing ability to read perfectly the subtitles. That's what got me here for 40 years."
Stating that she is trying to bring together this history of thought, which has been going on since the oldest civilizations as a subject in her works, with mystery and aesthetics, the artist continued her words as follows:
"I still haven't been able to paint well. Because figures are running around in my head. When I finish a painting other ideas take their place and 'This still hasn't happened.' you say. As you get closer, the target moves away. So I don't know what will happen in the future. The circle figure is seen frequently in my works. The circle without beginning symbolizes Almighty God. It is thought that there is information in the circle as well. In the figures I use in my works, I try to highlight the feeling rather than the posture. I recommend art lovers to visit this exhibition to take a break from their lives."
The exhibition can be visited until April 30.
