Republican People's Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) held weekly group meetings in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu criticized the government over the economy at the group meeting of his party. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli made harsh criticisms of the opposition parties.
"Millions are getting poorer fast"
Underlining that the farmer has difficulty in paying 'Bag-Kur' premiums, Kılıçdaroğlu said that the dreams of many people in Turkey are dead.
Pointing out that millions are impoverished rapidly, Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized that the state will not be governed by trial and error. Kılıçdaroğlu said that he would no longer talk about President Erdoğan and that the issue was Turkey, not Erdoğan.
Reminding a farmer's statement "I am hungry" during the speech of AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Mahir Unal, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "At the meeting held by an AK Party deputy, another AK Party farmer came out and said, 'I am hungry'. Normally, this person needs to think and rest. He has to face reality. The work they do is throw them out of the hall... This means being helpless in the face of problems. We will not do that."
Referring to the interest rate decision to be announced by the Central Bank this week, "They reduced the interest of the Central Bank, for the money to be given to the bank. Now, the citizens think that the interest rate in the Central Bank has decreased, interest rates have decreased in all banks. It's a complete scam... Let's look at it from the perspective of the treasure. Has the interest rate decreased while the government borrowed? Two-year government domestic borrowing has increased from 17 percent to 24 percent. Did the interest rate go down? You know how there was, you know where interest was haram? You go, you buy from the Central Bank with low interest, you go, you sell to the Treasury at 24 percent. All of this is falling on the back of the nation," he added.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli harshly criticized opposition party leaders, especially CHP Chairman Kılıçdaroğlu and Good (IYI) Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener.
Bahçeli, who criticized Sezen Aksu with the words "irresponsible" and "unconscious" because of the scandalous expressions in her song, "Among the lyrics of a freak song she wrote, the state of misery and disgrace on which an irresponsible and unconscious artist calls Adam and Eve 'ignorant' is a clear example of the pit of ignorance, which is the earthly apocalypse," he said.
