Good (İyi) Party held its Weekly Group Meeting in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. IYI Party Chairwoman Meral Akşener criticizes the government harshly and blamed it on the economy. Akşener also harshly criticized Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.
"There is talk, action is zero. Interior ministers do not gossip, venerable, you are making an attraction to protect your position over us, but we are not interested in you," she said.
"HDP should distance itself from PKK"
Responding to the criticisms made after a citizen called her “This is Kurdistan” during her visit to Turkey's eastern province Siirt, Akşener said:
"How could he say this is Kurdistan? Why are you surprised? What are you surprised about! This person is an HDP employee. What have we been saying for months, we position the HDP next to the PKK. We say that the HDP should distance itself from the PKK."
“THE NATION IS GOING POOR”
Touching upon the problems of the farmers, Akşener pointed out that the problems in raisins, dried figs, paddy and peanuts are not over and emphasized that the government should support the farmers.
"Inflation is not a trivial matter to be set aside. In an economy where prices are constantly increasing, you cannot predict how to use your resources correctly. One of the most important reasons for low productivity today is high inflation. High inflation brings insecurity. It delays long-term investments, which negatively affects long-term growth. This is exactly why, contrary to your Nobel theory, high inflation brings high uncertainty and high uncertainty brings high interest rates. In other words, inflation is the cause, and high interest rates are the result. Perhaps most importantly, inflation negatively affects income distribution. It impoverishes the nation," Aksener added.
