Saadet Party Konya Deputy and Head of Youth Branch Abdulkadir Karaduman evaluated the developments on the agenda at the press conference he held in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Karaduman made statements about the environment, especially the economy, and the Judiciary Package, which is expected to come to the agenda of the Parliamentary General Assembly.
“MARMARA SEA SPOT ON THE FACE OF THOSE WHO DESTROYED IT”
Karaduman drew attention to the mucilage in the Sea of Marmara.
"As a result of industrial wastes, unplanned infrastructure understanding, and the disappearance of sensitivity to nature, the Sea of Marmara is faced with the danger of extinction due to mucilage. There is no trace of the beauty and splendor of the Sea of Marmara. The Sea of Marmara is spitting in the faces of those who destroy it and use it like a septic tank. So why is this happening? The desire to dominate nature, the ambition to earn more and the consumption culture of the mentality that sees nature as sinful, as a result, to the same person; It returns with the problems of global climate change, shortage of access to clean water, drought, deforestation, soil pollution, extinction of living species and biodiversity," he said.
“VICTIMIZATION MUST BE CONSIDERED IN THE NEW JUDICIAL PACKAGE”
Karaduman also made evaluations about the Judicial Package that will come to the agenda of the Parliament in the coming days.
"Any regulation that does not rectify and eliminate injustices is merely ostentation and rhetoric. The new arrangement should be made taking into account the grievances. It is a shame on behalf of our country that people with proven innocence cannot be returned to their jobs despite being dismissed and acquitted," he added.
“125,000 TRADESMEN CLOSED SHOPS”
Noting that tradesmen and citizens had a hard time during the pandemic period, Karaduman noted that the number of tradesmen who closed their shutters in the first quarter of 2021 increased by 11 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Karaduman, who gave examples from the same periods, "125,000 people failed to pay their loan debts, and 113,000 people failed to pay their credit card debts and followed suit. During the pandemic period, 125,000 tradesmen closed their shutters. Contrary to TURKSTAT, inflation has reached 50 percent and has exceeded it in some areas. While people could not bring the end of the month, laws were turned into patches out of necessity, under the name of so-called structural reforms. The bag-law freak is one of the important reasons for this," he added.
