The dismissal of Malatya Provincial Director of National Education Battal Kanbay continues to resonate.
In this context, Mustafa Canbay, the Provincial Chairman of the Felicity (Saadet) Party Malatya, issued a press release and criticized the dismissal of Battal Kanbay.
“His dismissal has saddened us profoundly”
Mustafa Canbay, who asked questions to the authorities in the press release, "We are deeply saddened by the dismissal of Battal Kanbay, who started to work as the provincial director of national education 1.5 years ago and is known for his merits, uncompromising sense of duty and hard work, as well as being from Malatya. This event, which we think is purely political, has many question marks behind it. What are the reasons for the dismissal of our fellow countryman, the Provincial Director of National Education, whom we regard as Malatya's own child, while he was carrying out his duty with great success? Has Battal Kanbay been dismissed because he interfered with someone's business or because he did not take a step back from justice, transparency, using the authority given to him by the laws, and did not obey?" he asked.
“AS THE SAADET PARTY, WE DEFEND QUALIFICATION AND MERIT”
Mustafa Canbay also touched upon the approach of Saadet Party to the issue.
"As the Saadet Party, we defend competence and merit. What political ethic can be explained by dismissing the Provincial Director of National Education, who is a competent person and, as we mentioned at the beginning, a person raised by Malatya? This incident caused a deep discomfort in Malatya public opinion. I would like to make the following clear call here. Mr. Battal should be reinstated and justice, merit and transparency should never be compromised," he added.
