Emphasizing that Israel violated international laws, Abu Zarifa said, "Any discourse about likening the Palestinian resistance to DAESH and demonizing it is not correct. What HAMAS is doing is part of the efforts of the Palestinian people to resist the Israeli occupation, which seizes land, demolishes houses and desecrates sanctities."
Abu Zarifah regarding attempts to liken HAMAS to DAESH, "Israel is trying to legitimize its massacres by comparing HAMAS to DAESH. The DAESH label should not be used to legitimize occupying Israel's bloodshed and genocide of Palestinians in Gaza," he said.
Abu Zarifah touched on HAMAS's relationship with other Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza.
"We manage all armed actions within a national framework through the Palestinian Resistance Groups Joint Operations Room, which determines our form and means of opposing the occupation," Abu Zarifah added.
Abu Zarifah regarding the functioning of the resistance, "No single Palestinian entity is allowed to take steps that contradict the national consensus or harm the interests of the Palestinian cause," he stated.
"THE TARGET IS NOT HAMAS, BUT THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE"
Abu Zarifah emphasized that Israel's attacks are not only directed at HAMAS.
"So far we have lost many martyrs and many people have been injured. There are families whose registration has been deleted from the population. The occupying Israeli aggression and massacres do not distinguish between HAMAS, Fatah or Islamic Jihad. The target is not HAMAS, but the Palestinian people," he said.
Drawing attention to the events in Gaza, Abu Zarifah said, "What is being done in Gaza is genocide and mass murder, which is against international law and international humanitarian law."
Abu Zarifah, regarding US support for Israel, "The United States has no right to provide political and legal protection to Israel to continue its attacks on Gaza," he added.
