It was learned that the work of the Istanbul Bar Association No. 2 was also effective in the arrest warrant issued by the ICC against Israeli regime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Making a statement to the Milli Gazete, Istanbul Bar Association No. 2 President Atty. Yasin Şamlı, "What we could do as a legal institution was to activate international legal mechanisms, and we did that. We will continue to follow the process in terms of human rights and justice to stop the massacres in Palestine and punish the criminals," he said.
The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for the Zionist Israeli regime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
Regarding the issue, International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan announced that the court requested an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Galant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The work of Istanbul Bar Association No. 2 was also effective in the arrest decision made by the ICC. President of Istanbul Bar Association No. 2, Atty. Yasin Şamlı made a statement to Milli Gazete regarding the issue.
“ALL PEOPLE KNOW THE EVIDENCE OF CRIMES”
In his statement to our newspaper, Yasin Şamlı reminded that there was a great humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.
It is stated in the Rome Statute that established the ICC; Şamlı stated that genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression are all committed dozens of times every day in Gaza.
"More than 35 thousand people have been murdered so far. More than 70% of them are women and children. The number of murdered children is around 14,500. Unfortunately, these numbers are only detectable. When we take into account the things that cannot be detected, we see that there is a much more serious situation. This massacre is being carried out live, in front of the eyes of the whole world. From this perspective, all people know the evidence of the crimes committed by Israeli rulers," Şamlı said.
“WE COULD NOT BE INDIFFERENT TO THE MURDERING OF PEOPLE”
Yasin Şamlı also talked about their efforts to issue an arrest warrant for Israeli regime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant.
"As a legal institution, we could not remain indifferent to the massacre of women, children, civilians and innocent people with bombs, and the bombing of temples, schools and hospitals in Gaza. What we could do as a legal institution was to activate international legal mechanisms, and we did that. We prepared an application and collected evidence and applied to the International Criminal Court and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights," Şamlı added.
