"ASRIAD" Chairman Adnan Danışman stated that all non-governmental organizations and aid associations related to the earthquake region made an extraordinary effort.
"Aid needs to continue steadily for our victims who lost everything in the earthquake and live in tents or containers today. In short, let's not forget the earthquake zone, let's not let it be forgotten," Danışman said.
ASRIAD (Businessmen's Association of the Century) Adnan Danışman stated that everyone should do their part to prevent our citizens from experiencing victimization in the regions destroyed by earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş on February 6.
"On the day of the earthquake, we, ASRIAD, set up a crisis desk. We put forward what can be done about the region as soon as possible. Like all non-governmental organizations and aid associations in Turkey, we organized our aid. We immediately delivered the aid we collected only from our own members to the region. But believe me, the first days were very difficult. There was complete chaos. It took almost a few days for our state and AFAD to dominate the earthquake zone. Of course, together with the search and rescue efforts, the problems of feeding, eating and sheltering the earthquake victims had to be solved. After the chaos in the region was lifted, we organized and sent our aid trucks to the region under the coordination of AFAD," Danışman added.
“EARTHQUAKE AID SHOULD CONTINUE STEADY”
Emphasizing that as ASRIAD, they have created an earthquake fund for the earthquake zone with the participation of only its members, Danışman said following words:
"We meet our aid to earthquake victims entirely from this fund. ASRIAD has an aid logistics warehouse in the center of Adıyaman. At the moment, we are trying to deliver our aid from this warehouse to our earthquake victims in the devastated region. We continue to help with cleaning and hygiene materials, water, food parcels, that is, for the subsistence of our earthquake victims. At the moment, non-governmental organizations and aid organizations who have made an extraordinary effort to our brothers and sisters in the city center are transferring their aid to the region. But the problem is reaching our brothers and sisters in rural areas. We will continue our aid for another 6 months without interruption and then we will look ahead. My humble advice to all non-governmental organizations and aid associations that work hard for our earthquake-stricken brothers and sisters in 11 cities and districts that have been devastated, putting forth all their means and even organizing aid beyond their means, would be as follows: I'm evaluating.
