International Necmettin Erbakan and the Palestinian Cause Symposium was held yesterday at the Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Cultural Center in Istanbul.
The program, organized by the Economic and Social Research Center (ESAM), Anatolian Youth Association (AGD) and Religious Officials Association (DİN-BİR-DER), started with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
“OUR BASIC DUTY IS TO STAND AGAINST THE WEST”
Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu said in his speech at the symposium that he remembered Erbakan Hodja with mercy, gratitude and longing.
Karamollaoğlu noted that Israel committed vile massacres.
"Our most basic duty is to stand against falsehood and strive for an order based on truth. Zionists did not forget the slap they received from Abdulhamid II. We could not act in a way befitting the sensitivity of our ancestors. If you understand Erbakan Hodja, you can make sense of the Palestinian cause," Karamollaoğlu said.
“WE NEED TO ADOPTE D-8 PRINCIPLES”
Saadet Party leader Karamollaoğlu also touched upon the importance of D-8 in his speech at the International Necmettin Erbakan and the Palestinian Cause Symposium.
Karamollaoğlu said that if D-8 had been active, today's atrocities would not have occurred.
"The West does not see oppression. Their heedlessness encourages Israel. We need to adopt D-8 principles. We should never lose hope. Our hope is very important to change this corrupt order," Karamollaoğlu added.
“THERE IS A GREAT GENOCIDE IN PALESTINE AND JERUSALEM”
Muhittin Yıldırım said in his speech, "Our Erbakan Hodja fought hard to establish a new world. He saved the Islamic Ummah from the psychology of defeat and started the Milli Görüş movement as an actionist movement. Our Erbakan Hoca has revealed what jihad means. Currently, Palestine and Jerusalem, which have been occupied for 75 years, are in the midst of a great genocide and brutality," he said.
“IT IS OUR OBLIGATION TO SHOW THE HARDEST REACTION”
AGD-MGV Chairman Salih Turhan also gave a speech at the International Necmettin Erbakan and the Palestinian Cause Symposium.
In his speech, Turhan said, "Today, Anatolian Youth Association organizations are neither with nor behind the Palestinian resistance movements, especially HAMAS. Milli Görüş organizations are the Palestinian resistance itself with what they do. It is our duty to show the harshest reaction to those who try to add new links to the chains of political negligence and label HAMAS as a terrorist organization. History will record those who continued to trade with Israel despite the genocide in Gaza and those who failed to prevent this trade and those who tried to legitimize this trade with unfortunate arguments."
“ISRAEL KNEELS BEFORE US”
Following AGD-MGV Chairman Salih Turhan, HAMAS Turkey Representative Musa Aqqari also addressed the participants.
Aqqari emphasized the importance of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
"Israel aimed to completely destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque, completely occupy the West Bank and kill all Palestinian prisoners. We warned Israel against attacks against Palestine and Palestinians. Israel became arrogant. Israel did not expect a major operation like October 7. Israel knelt before us in two hours," Aqqari said.
“D-8 SHOULD BE ACTIVATED”
ESAM Chairman Recai Kutan attended the International Necmettin Erbakan and the Palestinian Cause Symposium via video conference.
"Against all the oppression in Gaza, a handful of mujahideen are teaching the world a lesson in humanity. The conscience of all of us humanity was mobilized and millions took to the streets. Many people were guided and became Muslims. Israel has committed a crime against humanity. It is essential for the Islamic world to stand by Palestine with all its means. D-8, which forms the core of the Islamic Union, needs to be activated," Kutan said.
“THE TIME WOULDN'T BE ENOUGH TO COUNT WHAT ERBAKAN HAS DONE”
Palestine's Ambassador to Ankara, Dr. Faed Mustafa, was among those who attended the symposium.
Addressing the participants, Mustafa said, "Erbakan Hoca was influential not only in Turkey but also in other Islamic countries. Erbakan had a dream about Palestine, and he did not give up his cause even for a minute. There would not be enough time to list what Erbakan has done for Palestine. Turkey stands with the Palestinian people. This is a success of Erbakan Hodja."
“THERE WAS A COUP IN TURKEY DUE TO THE JERUSALEM MEETING”
Allan Bilal, one of the symbolic figures of the Palestinian cause and a close colleague of our Milli Görüş leader Erbakan Hodja, addressed the participants at the International Necmettin Erbakan and the Palestinian Cause Symposium.
Bilal noted that Hasan Al-Benna and Necmettin Erbakan are very important names for the Palestinian cause.
"There were 100 thousand people at the Jerusalem Rally organized by Erbakan Hodja. The Palestinians were very happy. As a result of that action, there was a revolution in Turkey," Bilal said.
