Felicity (Saadet) Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu made important evaluations on the agenda at the weekly press conference he held.
“HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS WORKING UNDER DIFFICULT CONDITIONS”
Reminding that the administration of the Turkish Medical Association had visited him in the previous days, Karamollaoğlu drew attention to the grievances experienced by healthcare workers.
Karamollaoglu, "The sacrifices of health workers during the pandemic period made us proud, but they still continue their work under very difficult conditions. I don't understand how you can stand 36 hours of watch. We can say that we have a proper health system only if the working environments of our healthcare professionals are made more suitable and their salaries correspond to their work," he said.
“GOVERNMENT PROMISED 19 YEARS AGO”
Karamollaoğlu also commented on President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement of TRT share, "TRT has a share even in imported products. What does TRT have to do with an imported phone? This logic definitely needs to change. The AK Party had promised 19 years ago that it would remove its TRT share. Citizens have a 19-year receivable from the government. The TRT share, which was removed from the electricity bill, aroused excitement in the citizens, but unfortunately, the reflection of this on the bills is around 1 percent or not! The main change should be made on Value Added Tax and Special Consumption Tax," he added.
“INFLATION AT LEAST 40 PERCENT”
Stating that the 1-year inflation rate is around 40 percent at best today, Karamollaoğlu said:
"This means; In 2022, the minimum wage will increase by 40 percent, but it can reach the purchasing power again in 2020. Melting purchasing power and real inflation, which is tried to be hidden, must be taken into account in the calculation of the minimum wage. Therefore, it is not the rate for the minimum wage increase; level must be determined. This level is also not necessarily hunger; should be the poverty line."
