President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently received the members of the Turkish Jewish Community and the Rabbinical Alliance of Islamic States at the Presidential Complex.
While the meeting between Turkey and Israel, which took place at a time when the Israeli regime re-entered the "normalization" process, drew attention.
"The steps to be taken on the Palestinian issue, especially in Jerusalem, will contribute to the security and stability of not only the Palestinians but also Israelis. In this regard, I attach great importance to our renewed dialogue with both the President of Israel, Mr. Herzog, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Bennett," Erdoğan said.
Erdogan, who gave warm messages about Turkey-Israel relations through the rabbis accepted in Beştepe, called Ersin Tatar during his surprise meeting with the Turkish Jewish Community and the Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States (ARIS) and it was learned that Rabbis requested that the Jews in the north of Cyprus be given land for the construction of synagogues.
ERDOĞAN ACCEPTS RABBI AZIMOV'S REQUEST
Various issues were discussed during the meeting of President Erdoğan with the Turkish Jewish Community and the Rabbinical Alliance in Islamic States hosted at the Presidential Complex on December 22, 2021.
During a two-hour meeting with the rabbis, who were brought to Ankara by a private plane allocated by the Presidency, it was learned that Erdogan promised to support the construction and repair of synagogues in Turkey and the TRNC.
According to the information received, Rabbi Chaim Hillel Azimov, who attended the meeting from the north of Cyprus, asked Erdogan for a land for the construction of a synagogue in the TRNC.
Erdogan, who did not refuse Rabbi Azimov's request, called TRNC President Ersin Tatar at the meeting and demanded that the Jews in the north of Cyprus be given land for the construction of synagogues.
After the meeting, it was noted that TRNC President Ersin Tatar called Rabbi Chaim Hillel Azimov and stated that he was closely interested in the issue.
UNARMED OCCUPATION IN CYPRUS
According to TRNC company records, Israeli individuals have purchased a significant amount of land in Cyprus.
In the land purchase announced by the Milli Gazete with the headline "Unarmed occupation in Cyprus", 25,000 decares of land has been acquired so far.
While it has been revealed that approximately 2,000 companies in the TRNC have Israeli shareholders, it is stated that the land purchased so far is 25,000 acres.
It is also stated that most of the lands purchased by the Israeli regime, which has quietly occupied Cyprus step by step, are agricultural lands.
Karpaz is one of the areas where Jews buy land in Cyprus.
It is known that an article published in Forbes magazine recently mentioned the advantages of buying land in the Karpaz.
On the other hand, Lefke is among the areas where Jews buy land.
It is stated that the Jews bought two thousand decares of land in Lefke, and regions such as Gaziveren, Cengizköy, Bağlıköy and Çamlıköy are also among the targets.
WAS IT A GESTURE OF "NORMALIZATION"?
The normalization talks between Turkey and the occupying Israeli regime, announced by the Milli Gazete a year ago, have come to the agenda in the last period.
While our newspaper disclosed the "normalization" talks between Turkey and the occupying Israeli regime in its headline dated December 11, 2020, the allocation of land to Jews from the TRNC upon Erdogan's request from Ersin Tatar interpreted as "Turkey made a gesture to Israel, with which it held 'normalization' talks".
It is known that the Israeli regime dreams of "Promised Lands" in Cyprus, which has great strategic importance for Turkey.
While Cyprus, which is on the target board of Zionism, has been gradually invaded by the Zionists and local collaborators who have been made TRNC citizens, Cyprus, which Israel wants to dominate, is in danger of becoming a part of "Greater Israel".
In this respect, it is vital to prevent Jews from buying land in Cyprus.
