In the statement of the Privatization Administration (ÖİB), it was stated that the privatization method of Turkey Electricity Transmission Inc. (TEİAŞ) will be offered to the public, the majority share in the company will remain in the public, and the public control will continue unequivocally, and it has been stated that there is no block sale or transfer of operating rights of TEİAŞ to any person or institution.
Reminding that TEİAŞ was included in the scope of privatization with the President's Decision dated July 2, 2021 and numbered 4222, in the announcement published on the website of the Privatization Administration (ÖİB), in order to start the preparations for the public offering,
"As stated clearly and precisely in the said decision, the privatization method will be public offering, the majority share in TEİAŞ will remain in the public domain, and public control will continue unequivocally. There is no block sale or transfer of operating rights of the company to any person or institution. Since TEİAŞ is only included in the scope of privatization in the current situation, the current status of TEİAŞ and its personnel and the company's commitment to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources continue," it was stated.
“A MINORITY SHARE WILL BE OFFERED TO THE PUBLIC”
In the statement, it was stated that by offering a minority share of TEİAŞ to the public, it is aimed to bring a strong and broad investor base company to the Turkish capital markets,
"During and after the public offering, the Privatization Administration, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and all other stakeholders will pay the highest level of attention and importance to the flawless continuation of all business processes and the activities of TEİAŞ," it was added.
