Making evaluations on the agenda at the press conference held at the Felicity (Saadet) Party Headquarters, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Mahmut Arıkan emphasized that the Saadet Party organizations are fully staffed and continue to work, and congratulated the presidents and organizations elected at the Kastamonu, Batman and Aksaray provincial congresses held at the weekend, "Hopefully, we will seriously reap the fruits of our efforts in the coming period," he said.

Noting that the economic crisis has reached even more serious dimensions with the pandemic and that the citizens are in financial difficulty, Arıkan said, "Our nation cannot find enough to live on, the pots do not boil. The dollar is 9.25, and the gram of gold is 525 lira. Our nation is getting poorer with each passing minute, and the burden is increasing. Imagine a country today, whether the biggest problem is house rent, when a person rents out half or more of his salary, what food and drink will he have? While the situation is such a deplorable one, those who hold a pen, whom we have known for their fairness in the past, are now becoming advocates of the greatest injustices. What do these pen owners say? 'We do not drink diesel at breakfast or at dinner' It is necessary to fear Allah and be ashamed of the servant. Yes! Our nation may not be drinking diesel, but today it is vomiting blood due to boredom. Be conscientious, be just, do not use yesterday's oppression as a shield and be today's proud."

Referring to the torpedo and nepotism allegations in public procurements that have come to the fore in recent days, Arıkan said, "Recently, some documents, information, torpedo and nepotism allegations have been flying in the air. People get upset when they read and see the allegations. Mistakes made under the guise of belief also implicate NGOs and believers who are not involved in dirty work and only try to win Allah's approval. As such, immorality ceases to be individual and acquires a social identity. Our stance and understanding at this point are very clear; A person of faith has to be just, he has to have humility, he has to do business according to competence and merit."

“IF VALUES ARE DAMAGED, IT WILL NOT BE EASY TO RESOLVE”

Emphasizing that believers have to be careful about some issues, Arıkan stated that they will work to restore the values damaged due to the allegations made.

"If you are pursuing a lawsuit; pomp, luxury, extravagance, nepotism, torpedo and favor must not even pass through your neighborhood. Governments come and go, economic problems are solved, but if values are damaged and this damage is done by those who defend those values, it will not be easy to solve this problem. Therefore; I would like to state that we will restore the damaged values with an understanding that prioritizes the right and justice, and we will endeavor to serve our country and our people in the light of these values," he added.

“LIFE STYLE AND CLOTHING CANNOT BE THE REASON FOR INSULTING TO A PERSON”

Arıkan stated that the criticisms made on social media regarding the dressing of the Afghan delegation, which made a visit to Turkey in the past days, are not correct in today's conditions, and that these reactions are a continuation of the bad legacy from the past.

"The Afghan delegation is making a diplomatic visit to our country, the delegation comes to our country with a choice of clothes in line with their customs, traditions and beliefs, but some sane celebrities insult these people on social media over their clothes. Those who deal with what people wear cannot go a long way in this country, their lifestyle and clothing preferences cannot be a reason to insult anyone," Arıkan added.
