Declaring 2021 as a family year, DİN-BİR-DER held a panel on "Threats to Our Family Structure and Protection of the Family in the 21st Century".
Many religious scholars and the President of Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş, also attended the panel and made a speech.
ERBAŞ: "OUR PROPHET IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE IN EVERY FIELD"
Speaking in the program, President of Religious Affairs Erbaş, "The family is the most rooted institution of humanity. Human life adventure begins with Adam and Eve. In order to protect the family and eliminate the dangers to the family, we first need to know the circumcision of the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) well. Our Prophet is the best example for a family. Our Prophet is the witness of those who are in the righteous way. The Prophet is a warner against those who attempt to rebel and oppress. The most important factor that separates human beings from other beings is good morality. Good morals are the most beautiful legacy our Prophet left us. We need to make the circumcision of our Prophet our guide in our lives," he said.
YILDIRIM: "WE SHOULD STAND UP AGAINST THE ATTACKS AGAINST THE FAMILY INSTITUTION"
Muhittin Hamdi Yıldırım, the President of DİN-BİR-DER, stated that the Presidency of Religious Affairs has taken some steps to create social awareness at the point of protecting and strengthening the family, "We, as non-governmental organizations that have sensitivity and awareness in the face of various attacks against our family structure, in recent years, under the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah, we strive to support and lead such auspicious activities. It is our historical responsibility to confront the attacks against our 'family' structure in a conscious and systematic way, as our religious officials, madrasah teachers and Qur'an courses who undertake the duties of 'amr-i bil ma'ruf and nahy-i ani'l monkar'," he said.
THREATS AGAINST THE FAMILY CONSIDERED
The panel chaired by Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Theology academic staff member Prof. Dr. Orhan Çeker, and the Vice President of Religious Affairs Dr. Burhan İşliyen Threats Against Our Family Structure, Uludağ University Faculty of Theology Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Ay Threats Against Children and Youth, Üsküdar University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan Threats Against the Marriage Process and Afterwards, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Burhanettin Can Threats Against the Dignity of Spouses, İzmir Prof. Dr. Saffet Köse, Rector of Kâtip Çelebi University, will also discuss the issue of Threats Against the Values That Make Up the Family. The panel end with the prayer of Prof. Dr. Yunus Vehbi Yavuz, retired academic member of Uludağ University, after Prof. Dr. Orhan Çeker's assessment.
