The workers, who came together under the leadership of 'Hizmet-İş' workers union, demanded that their grievances end and their rights be given.
15 MONTHLY PAYMENT DID NOT PAID
In the press statement read by Mehmet Keskin, Deputy Chairman of the Hizmet-İş workers union, it was noted that the Hacettepe University administration did not grant the rights arising from the collective bargaining agreement decided by the Supreme Arbitration Board, "15-month retroactive wages of our working friends are not paid. Our friends, who have suffered because their rights are not paid, are workers who have been working selflessly by staying away from their homes, spouses and children, day and night, since the first day the coronavirus started to appear in our country," he said.
The workers working at the Hacettepe University hospital protested to get their rights, which they had won with the collective bargaining agreement but were usurped for 15 months. The workers, who are members of the Hizmet-İş Union, expressed their grievances in the press release they organized and demanded an end to the injustices they suffered.
"DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES TO VICTIMIZATION"
The statement, which stated that they had met with the university administration many times as a union, but could not see a solution-oriented attitude, was concluded with the following call:
"We call on Hacettepe University administrators once again: Do not close your eyes to the retroactive rights of our working friends. No one has the right to disappoint them. As Hizmet-İş Union, we will continue our struggle until the end for the rights of our working friends arising from the contract."
