During the General Assembly, the opposition's proposal "Let the Parliament not to go to a holiday" was rejected by the votes of the partners of the People's Alliance.
Saadet Party Deputy Mahmut Arıkan, in his assessment, "As Saadet Party Parliamentary Group and other opposition parties, we called the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to an extraordinary meeting to discuss the recent hikes, the bad course of the economy and propose solutions. Today (yesterday) we started the meeting at 15:00. We said, 'Let the Veteran Parliament continue to work, there is no holiday when the country has so many problems'. We proposed to work on the issues that undermine our nation, which Erdoğan also accepted. But the People's Alliance refused," he said.
