The President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK), Bendevi Palandöken, made a call for all Retirement Age Victims (EYT) members, especially tradesmen, who cannot benefit from health care because they are not old enough to retire.
Palandoken demanded that this grievance end. Stating that many tradesmen and their families who cannot benefit from health services are victims, Palandöken said, “Those who have completed the period of being insured to retire, fulfill the obligation to pay premiums and wait for the age limit, cannot benefit from health services. It should be paved the way for those who meet the retirement conditions, but are not old enough to benefit from health services, especially our tradesmen and craftsmen. On the other hand, benefit for temporary incapacity should be given to our tradesmen and craftsmen not only for their inpatient treatments, but also for their sick and outpatient treatments based on the report.”
“THE NUMBERS OF PREMIUM DAYS MUST BE EQUAL”
Noting that the social state principle is taken as basis in retirement, Palandöken, “the inequality created among the insured with the Law No. 5510 is tried to be eliminated in terms of tradesmen and craftsmen by following the law. For this reason, the number of premium days required for the retirement of the insured with 4A and 4B should be equalized in 7200 days.” he said.
