“LET'S THINK ABOUT THE INTERESTS OF 85 MILLION”

Bulent Kaya, Group Deputy Chairman of Saadet Party, spoke about Akbelen in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.

"Our reason for meeting today is our unending, perhaps not desired, destiny; It is to talk about the massacres of nature caused by the plundering and destruction of our nature, forests, agricultural areas, streams and even our cities and to find a solution. Article 56 of our Constitution, which he respected in recent years when it came to power, but generally regarded as a burden to them, states that 'Everyone has the right to live in a healthy and balanced environment'. Everyone, not just your rich people, not just a handful of rentiers, but also your rich people, your poor, your workers, and in short, our 85 million nation with all its members says. For this reason, do not only think about the interests of your rich people, only your profit makers. Let's think about the interests of this 85 million people together," Kaya said.

“A BLACK VIEW WHILE IMAGINING A CORNER FROM HEAVEN”

Saying that the greenery in the region is in danger of disappearing after the forests are cut, Kaya said, "When people arriving at Milas Bodrum Airport look down from the plane, they are now dreaming of a corner of heaven, but now they are faced with a dark image... No one says, 'Let's not extract our mines, let's not contribute to our economy'. Our objections to the brutal plundering of our forests and streams so that companies can make more profit. What are you trying to do with a rude style, ignoring the sensitivities, memories and pasts of our people who know these places as their homeland?"
