EBS Consulting Agency General Manager Erol Şahin pointed out that the highest rate of income was achieved with the SCT earned from automobile sales.
Şahin underlined that the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) could be increased after the election and that the citizens would not be able to make purchases with the increase in exchange rates.
The elections are over. After the elections, the dollar rate began to rise. While it is expected that there will be an increase in the prices of many products in the market with the increase in the exchange rates, the increase in prices that started with the pandemic is expected to continue after the election.
Especially in the automobile market, the increase in prices, dollar and tax rates continue. Erol Şahin, General Manager of EBS Consulting, drew attention to the fact that citizens cannot make purchases with the increase in the dollar exchange rate.
Drawing attention to the increases in the exchange rates, Şahin underlined that the markets are focused on Friday.
"The exchange rate will not rise to 30 liras at once, but it will continue to increase gradually every day. After a point, with the increases in prices, citizens will come to the point where they cannot make purchases. Markets are waiting for Friday. It is especially important what the economic policy will be. The market will be determined by the new cabinet," Şahin said.

Examining the budget data, Şahin drew attention to the deficit in the budget and underlined the additional hikes to be experienced with the additional budget.
"The budget had a record deficit of 382 billion in the first 4 months. I expect hikes in all areas due to the additional budget to be determined as a priority to close this gap. In particular, I expect an increase in tax rates. Of course, the first place is the increase in SCT, Additional MTV, Additional Real Estate Tax, Additional Corporate and Income Tax. Especially if the increases in the dollar exchange rate increase by 30 TL, bigger problems await us," Şahin added.
“Both the target and the tax will increase”
Drawing attention to tax revenues in the first four months of the year, Şahin stated that especially SCT earnings are important.
"Among all taxes in the 4 months of the year, the SCT taken from automobiles is the leader with a gain of 10.4%. 44 percent of the year-end target of 203 billion has already been met. Remember, after this, both the target and the tax will increase," Şahin said.
