The "Strengthened Parliamentary System" memorandum of understanding, on which six parties have been working for months, was shared with the public in a magnificent program held in Ankara with the participation of the chairpersons.
 
In the program organized with the theme of "For Tomorrow's Turkey", the text of the "Strengthened Parliamentary System" agreement was announced by the vice presidents of the parties in 6 sections.
 
After the announcement of the text, 6 presidents took the stage, signed the memorandum of understanding and gave a historical photograph that Turkey misses.
 

ANKARA HOSTED THE HISTORICAL SUMMIT

 
Capital Ankara hosted a historical summit. The "Strengthened Parliamentary System" agreement text, on which 6 political parties have been working for months, was shared with the public in the presence of the chairpersons.
 
At the magnificent summit held in Ankara Bilkent Hotel Sakarya Hall with the participation of the chairmen of the Felicity (Saadet) Party, the Republican People's Party (CHP), the Good (İyi) Party, the Democracy and Progress (Deva) Party, the Future (Gelecek) Party and the Democrat Party, the signed the agreed text of agreement.
 
The excitement of a new era prevailed at the summit, while the 6 presidents gave together the historical photographs that Turkey misses. At the summit where there was a great interest, the entrance of 6 general presidents to the hall was applauded for several minutes.
 

THE GENERAL PRESIDENTS SIGNED THE TEXT

 
While the presidents were sitting in alphabetical order in order to avoid public debate, the program started with a cine-vision show where the presidents' explanations about the system were included.

After the memorandum was shared, the heads of Felicity (Saadet) Party, the Republican People's Party (CHP), the Good (İyi) Party, the Democracy and Progress (Deva) Party, the Future (Gelecek) Party and the Democrat Party took the stage and signed the "Reinforced Parliamentary System" memorandum of understanding.
 
The "Strengthened Parliamentary System" memorandum of understanding was shared with the public in sections by the vice presidents of the parties that have been working in the kitchen for months. Some highlights from that text:
 
* We will strengthen the parliament's supervisory authority.
 
* We will reduce the electoral threshold to 3 percent in order to increase the power of representation, ensure fairness in representation and pluralist democracy.
 
* Political parties that receive 1 percent of the vote will be entitled to benefit from the Treasury aid.
 
* The term of office of the President will be 7 years and he will be elected once. He will be dismissed from his party.
 
* We will abolish the Council of Judges and Prosecutors and create two different boards, the Council of Judges and the Council of Prosecutors.
 
* We will require at least three quarters of the members of the Constitutional Court to be lawyers.
 
* We will organize the Court of Accounts as a high court in the Constitution.
 
* We will restructure TRT and Anadolu Agency on the basis of independence and impartiality.
 
* We will make media ownership and financing transparent, and we will take legal and structural measures to prevent monopolization and cartelization in the media.
 
* By ensuring a fair distribution of income, we will strengthen social rights and state aids as a rights-based obligation in a manner befitting human dignity.
 
* We will put an end to the interview practices and take the written exam results as a basis.
 
* We will bring anti-corruption legislation into full compliance with the recommendations of the Group of States against Corruption.
 
* We will renew the Public Procurement Law and regulate the tender legislation in a single law.
