According to this, the death sentence given to 12 people, including the Secretary General of the Freedom and Justice Party (HAP), Mohamed al-Beltagy and Safwat Hejazi, one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan), was upheld. While the decision in question caused anger in the Islamic geography, Muslim Brotherhood Spokesperson Talat Fehmi made important statements to the Milli Gazete. Answering our newspaper's questions, Fehmi also spoke about the anniversary of Mohammed Morsi's martyrdom.

“THE PROCESS IS A ACT OF POLITICAL REVENGE”

Muslim Brotherhood Spokesperson Talat Fehmi evaluated the death penalty for twelve people and life imprisonment for many people in Egypt.

Talat Fahmi said that what happened was a case of political revenge created to liquidate the opponents of the military regime that came to power in Egypt after the coup in Egypt.

Emphasizing that the punishments given to the leaders, symbol names and other members of the Brotherhood have no legal definition and that crimes against humanity were committed by the regime forces, Fehmi said, "A person cannot be punished without any evidence and on fabricated charges."

“PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL TORTURE”

"Why does the Sisi regime's hatred and persecution of the Brotherhood not end? What is Sisi's purpose?"

Answering our question, Fehmi noted that the Muslim Brotherhood wanted to be eliminated because it worked for the benefit of the peoples of the region and because it reflected the conscience of the society.

Speaking about the mental and physical health of the oppressed in the dungeons, Fehmi said,

"Apart from the death penalty, prisoners are punished such as deprivation of food, treatment, visits, and isolation. There is also psychological torture against detainees. But we can't get any information other than what the lawyers see and hear," Fehmi added.

DOES THE RAPPROCHEMENT BETWEEN TURKEY-SISI REGIME END THE OPPRESSION OVER IKHWAN?

Spokesperson of the Muslim Brotherhood, Fehmi, also evaluated the recent rapprochement between the Turkish and Egyptian governments in the statements he made to the Milli Gazete.

"Considering the rapprochement between Turkey and the Sisi administration, could Turkey have a role in eliminating or at least reducing the persecution of the Brotherhood? What is your expectation from Turkey?"

Answering our question, Fehmi stated that he hoped this rapprochement would play a role in alleviating the suffering of the oppressed in Egyptian prisons.

Talat Fehmi, "Turkey played a wonderful humanitarian role in protecting and sheltering those who came from the dictatorial regime in Egypt. We hope that the current rapprochement efforts between Egypt and Turkey will play a role in alleviating the suffering of the oppressed in Egyptian prisons. Political repression contributes to the elimination of injustice. We hope that Turkey will play an active role in resolving the problem in Egypt and in eliminating injustice against the opposition, including the Brotherhood," he said.

TALAT FEHMI CALLED TO THE PEOPLE OF TURKEY

Talat Fehmi, one of the leading figures of the Muslim Brotherhood movement, addressed the people of Turkey through our newspaper. Expressing that the people of Turkey are a great people with strong Islamic feelings, Fehmi said, "O grandchildren of Fatih, you have defended the oppressed throughout history. The blood of your brothers in Egypt is being shed. We ask you to tell the world about the injustices and tragedies suffered by the Egyptian people and to defend our rights as best you can."

Talat Fehmi also spoke about Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, who passed away a year ago. Fehmi said that Morsi is a unique personality lost by the Egyptian people.

"He was an educated man, a reciter of the Holy Quran, had good political experience and knew exactly what the Egyptian people wanted. He tried to advance Egypt and its people in every field. Mursi will remain a symbol and an inspiration for generations to come," Fehmi added.
