Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) Chamber of Agricultural Engineers Bursa Branch President Dr. Fevzi Çakmak and Milli Gazete Ankara News Director Sadettin İnan attended the conference as speakers.

“WE ARE A MOVEMENT THAT PAYS ATTENTION TO AGRICULTURE AND LIVESTOCK!”

Mehmet Atmaca, Bursa Provincial President of Saadet Party, made the opening speech of the conference.

"All of you are welcome to this program we have organized. When it comes to agriculture, everyone knows the Milli Görüş Movement's stance on agriculture. Due to the importance we attach to this issue, we thought of organizing such a program. Because we all know that there have been serious problems related to agriculture recently. Due to the geographical structure of our country, the Milli Gorus movement has worked for the construction of a strong Turkey for a long time. Since Turkey has the potential to become a self-sufficient country in agriculture, it has given importance to this issue and has always kept it on its agenda. We all know that he gave serious support to agriculture and animal husbandry in the short period of power. In particular, we think that it is one of the sectors that will make the greatest contribution to our development. Because our infrastructure and geography are very suitable for this. In particular, we think that it is one of the easiest ways to overcome the economic hardship we are in. There are some problems as well. At the beginning of these, agricultural lands, which were unfortunately wasted as a result of rapid urbanization and unplanned construction, are an extremely important problem for our Bursa. We are all sad. Agriculture and food are basic needs. In this regard, we would like to attach importance to this issue in the future processes. We become aware of these geographical riches we have, we become a self-sufficient country in agriculture and we provide resources to meet other needs with the incomes to be obtained from agriculture," he said.

“OUR AGRICULTURAL LANDS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED FOR INDUSTRIALIZATION”

TMMOB Chamber of Agricultural Engineers Bursa Branch President Dr. Fevzi Cakmak, "We want to exist wherever agriculture is spoken, and everywhere we try to tell the truth that we know when our language turns. The farmer is in trouble, the tradesman is in trouble, the industry is in trouble, the academy employee is in trouble, the engineer is in trouble, we are all troubled. Since 2002, approximately 3.1 million hectares of agricultural lands have been taken out of agriculture for the sake of industrialization and urbanization. He can't win anymore and the debt is over the top. The farmer says enough is enough, but still my farmer is so devoted that he struggles not to leave agriculture in the hope that I will win next year. Unfortunately, he doesn't say to his children, 'Go and become a farmer', he says, 'do not be a farmer at least, go and save yourself'. As a result, our farmers and young people are moving away from the villages. Because we stopped investing in villages. There are no social facilities, no health, no education. When you go to the villages in Europe, you don't want to live in the city," he said.

“BIG OPERATIONS MADE AGAINST FARMERS IN FARMERS' ORGANIZATIONS”

Milli Gazete Ankara News Director Saadettin Inan stated that the government does not see the agricultural sector as a strategic sector.

"If the rulers of the country really saw agriculture as a strategic sector, Bekir Pakdemirli could not have been the Ministry of Agriculture in this country for 3.5 years. Major operations were taken against farmers in farmer organizations. While the facilities of the institution were plundered by someone with the corruption, it also caused the exploitation of the farmer's resources. Although Milli Gazete fulfills an important task in bringing the corruption committed in farmer organizations on behalf of the public to the agenda, punishment is left aside for the perpetrator, since the inspection mechanism is not operated", he said.
