Fesih Bozan drew attention to the drug problem in Diyarbakır at a press conference held at the Saadet Party Diyarbakır Provincial Presidency and underlined the threat of addiction faced by the youth. Fesih Bozan, who also shared the drug statistics about Turkey and Diyarbakır, made important statements.
“50 PERCENT OF YOUTH ARE AT RISK OF ADDICTION”
Pointing to a report shared by IHH on the use of drugs on January 1, 2021, Fesih Bozan, Diyarbakir Provincial Chairperson of Saadet Party, said:
"The rise in drug addiction is frightening. Approximately 10 million people in Turkey are substance and behavioral addicts. 60 percent of the murders, 40 percent of the attacks, and 33 percent of the rapes are carried out by people who use alcohol and drugs. 31.3 percent of the youth smoke frequently, 4.9 percent drink alcohol frequently, 4.1 percent use drugs once, 1.2 percent use drugs occasionally, 1.1 percent i states that he frequently uses drugs. As a result, 50% of young people in Turkey are at risk of addiction."
“CORRECT MEASURES CANNOT BE TAKEN WITHOUT THE CORRECT DETECTION”
"Families should take care of their children, not leave them without love and interest, and follow the friends and places they hang out with. The government does not control movies, series and programs on TV, newspapers, social media, etc., which encourage young people to use drugs, alcohol, gambling and cigarettes. must be an obstacle.
