Reacting to the trainings organized by the Ministry of National Education and given for specialists and head teachers, Anadolu Education Union President Mehmet Alper Öğretici pointed out that it is not the right step for teachers to spend hours in front of the computer every day.

"What reason does it serve to condemn the teacher to watch videos on the computer for 4 hours a day during the summer vacation, which is his right to rest? How will this benefit the teacher?" he asked.

"THE MINISTRY SHOULD NOT BE PERSISTENT IN ITS MISTAKE"

Öğretici, who made a call to the Ministry of National Education regarding the trainings, stated that the system that will take teachers for a long time under the name of training will not be beneficial.

"While teachers who have left behind a tiring education period should be listened to, it is useless to condemn them to the computer for hours under the name of education. The Ministry of National Education should not insist on mistakes," he added.

It was stated that with the Teaching Profession Law, together with the expert teaching and head teacher system, teachers will be subjected to both training and examination.

Noting that, as a union, they brought these practices to court, Öğretici said, "We emphasized that while teaching is already a profession of specialization, there is no need for a title to make teachers experts again, and that even the exam for specialization and head teacher is not related to the knowledge of the teaching profession. We have mentioned that the training put on summer vacation may cause bigger problems for prospective teachers."
