According to the announced data, 1 million 8 thousand 139 students made their choice, and 95 percent of these students were placed in any school that is in their choice.

In the LGS exam, which 1 million 31 thousand 799 of the 1 million 236 thousand 308 students who graduated from the 8th grade took this year, the number of students who chose a school in the first choice period was announced as 1 million 8 thousand 139.

SETTLEMENT RATIOS ON THE TOP 3 PREFERENCES REACHED SERIOUS LEVELS

While the rate of students who wrote and settled in Anatolian high schools in their first preferences was announced as 57 percent, it was stated that the rate of those who settled in an Anatolian high school in their first three preferences was 99 percent.

It was seen that 57 percent of the students who were placed in Anatolian imam hatip high schools without an exam were placed in an Anatolian imam hatip high school in their first choice and 88 percent in their first three preferences. While the rate of students placed in the vocational and technical secondary education institution of their first choice was 52 percent, the rate of those placed through the first three preferences was announced as 88 percent.

“INCREASE NUMBERS BUT THE PRIORITY IS THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION”

Commenting on the election results to our newspaper, the Chairman of the Conscious Teachers Association (ÖĞ-DER), Hamdi Sürücü, stated that the priority should be given to the quality of education.

"Increasing numbers is good, but the priority should be the quality of education. The increase in vocational high schools is important, but practical education has left its place to theoretical education. Although the preferences of project schools have increased in Anatolian imam hatip high schools, it should be considered whether they are preferred only because of the project or as imam hatip. It is important whether it brings the morality and spirituality that imam hatip high schools should bring," Sürücü added.
