Felicity (Saadet) Party Konya Provincial Presidency held its September Provincial Council Meeting with wide participation. Ersan Bilgin, Deputy Chairman of Saadet Party, who attended the meeting and addressed the party members, made striking evaluations on the agenda.

Referring to the dormitory and rent crisis, Bilgin underlined that university students have serious difficulties in finding a place to stay.

"Although President Erdogan denies the existence of such a problem, rental prices have increased by 50 percent or even 100 percent in some regions. The situation is not very different in the dormitories; Apart from exorbitant wages, it is also obvious that there is a huge capacity problem... Our youth are deprived of one of their most basic rights, which is the right to shelter. The dormitory capacity of the Credit and Hostels Institution (KYK) was increased in 2002; From 180 thousand to 720 thousand now, bravo congratulations! Well, what about the increase in the number of students enrolled in higher education? The number of students, which was around 1.5-2 million in 2002, has exceeded 8 million this year! I will not list them one by one here, as you already know very well, unfortunately, there is a great crisis in our country. This crisis is not only economic, but also a moral crisis. From agriculture to economy, from justice to health, from foreign policy to education, Turkey is blocked," he said.

Bilgin stated that every part of the society is facing big problems.

"People are looking for an exit door and an address that can give them hope. As Saadet Party, we are the address of hope and solution. Today, the worker is the victim, the employer is the victim; retired debtor civil servants, old and young alike, have given up hope of this government. Millions of minimum wage workers are objecting to this life, which is now considered to be acceptable to them. The victims of of delayed pension age (EYT) and KHK, whose number reaches hundreds of thousands, are in search of cadres whose problems can be solved. In such a climate, it is time to come forward with policies and discourses that will give hope to people and give them confidence, and it is time to work hard," he added.
