Registration for "summer events" for primary and secondary school students, identified with the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), has begun.
The summer events, which will take place all over Turkey, will continue for 6 weeks between July 5 and August 20, 2021.
While the registrations for the summer events continued, AGD-MGV Chairman Salih Turhan answered the questions of the Milli Gazete about the summer events program.

What does a teenager mean to you?
Young person; The right to life, freedom of belief and thought for every person on earth, who considers it his duty to be on the side of all the oppressed no matter what color and race they are, while he considers everyone of every color and race sharing the same belief as brothers in the struggle for the good, right, beneficial and justice to dominate the earth, We can define them as people who accept the right to form a family and protect their descendants, the right to own property, and the right to ensure mental health as fundamental and inalienable rights, spend all their energy in the prime of their lives for this purpose, and make sacrifices for their beliefs and ideals. For us, every young person is a treasure.

As Anadolu Youth Association, we are aware of our responsibilities towards the universe, the environment, people and ourselves; sensitive to its history, age and future; striving for the dissemination of brotherhood, compassion, love and goodness; determined in the establishment of justice; We have a youth ideal that strives to raise a knowledgeable, faithful and hardworking generation. In this context, the Anatolian Youth Association strives to raise young cadres who will re-orient the world, who will support the lambs that the wolves intend to snatch, no matter what river they are on, who will share their soup with their neighbors, and who will keep our geography united and whole with the understanding of brotherhood. In this direction, we aim to meet with young people with our summer activities as we do throughout the year.

What is your goal in the summer activities study?
The best legacy for parents to leave to their children is good morals. The duty of parents in a Muslim family is to raise generations with good morals. Morality is seeing everything on earth as a trust. The entire universe is God's. Both the flower and the insect have rights over us. Our goal in our summer events is to raise generations in an effort to respect the rights of all these relics. Man is temporary. The search for goodness, beauty and justice will continue until the end of time. Our duty is to seek hearts that will continue this effort.
“WE ARE TARGETING A PRODUCTIVE SUMMER”
Can you tell us about the summer activities that have become traditional?
Summer events, which are a brand of summer periods from the National Youth Foundation (MGV) to the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), are an event that has helped many young people to grow up. In these activities, our students have accumulated friends and memories, improved their individual development, and learned how they can be beneficial to humanity in the social arena. In the past year, different social events have developed for all people. Due to the pandemic, our students had to stay in their homes, they were bored, maybe they were in despair. This year they finally got their report cards and the summer term has begun. Unfortunately, Covid-19 continues. We aim to spend a productive summer with our explorer students by taking all hygiene measures.
“WE ARE TAKING YOUTH AWAY FROM TABLETS AND PHONES”
What kind of curriculum awaits our youth this year?
We do not believe that a curriculum based solely on reading and memorization is beneficial. Our younger siblings should learn to swim, ride horses, get to know the historical texture of the city they live in, and be familiar with our common meeting point, the mosques. We have always adjusted the curriculum of our summer events accordingly. With the consent of the parents, our students will find themselves in different activities. You are twelve years old, but you have not yet touched a horse. You have such an experience or you learn to swim at AGD's summer events. You have a story to tell in September. You get out of the screen of your tablet and phone and play real games, real games from long ass to leapfrog. These seem like details, but we believe they are milestones in a child's upbringing.
