Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, one of the symbolic figures of the Palestinian resistance and the assistant of HAMAS leader Ismail Haniyeh, was martyred at the HAMAS office in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.
As a result of the Israeli regime's drone attack, five HAMAS members, as well as Arouri, were martyred.
Under the leadership of the Anatolian Youth Association (AGD), funeral prayers in absentia were performed for the Palestinian martyrs in many cities, especially in Istanbul and Ankara.
PRAYER WAS PERFORMED FOR ALL MARTYRS
Tens of thousands of people flocked to the squares and mosques and performed funeral prayers in absentia for the martyr Saleh al-Arouri and the 22 thousand oppressed Gazans who were martyred since October 7.
After the funeral prayer in absentia, which was performed after the night prayer, prayers were also said for the martyrs. Press statements were made after the funeral prayers in absentia.
In the statements, while praying for the martyrs, it was emphasized that the occupying Israel is a great danger for the region and the world, that it stands in the middle of the world like a cancer cell and that it must be eradicated as soon as possible.
THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TOOK THE SQUARES
While AGD once again supported the oppressed Palestinians and Gazans, one of the addresses of the protests was Istanbul.
Thousands of people flocked to Fatih upon the call of AGD Istanbul Branch and performed the funeral prayer in absentia for the martyrs after the night prayer at Fatih Mosque.
After the funeral prayer in absentia, the participants marched towards Saraçhane Square and reacted to the Zionist Israeli regime.
Thousands of people, who stated that they were with the Palestinian resistance with the slogans they chanted, gathered in Saraçhane Square and a press statement was made there.
“WE CONTINUE THE ROAD OF AROURI”
AGD Istanbul Branch President Mehmet Yaroğlu addressed the Palestine lovers who gathered in Saraçhane Square.
Noting that they will continue the path of the martyrs, Yaroğlu emphasized that they stand by the Palestinian resistance.
"We continue the path of resistance of our beloved martyr Saleh Al-Arouri, the glorious mujahid of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance HAMAS. We are marching to Jerusalem with millions of martyrs," Yaroğlu said.
