"It is the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the occupying China, which was declared in October 1949. China, which was built on genocidal foundations by murdering 100 million people living on the lands it dominates; has been subjecting the East Turkestan, Tibet and Inner Mongolian regions it has occupied to assimilation and genocide policies since its establishment."

In addition to members of the press, many civilians also participated in the joint press statement made by more than thirty non-governmental organizations on the 72nd anniversary of the East Turkestan occupation. In the press release, China's occupation and oppressive attitude that it has done and continues to do from the past to the present was explained. The press release also included the messages that the persecution of East Turkestan was perpetrated to the entire Islamic geography.

UNDER THE CULTURE REVOLUTION

In the joint press statement made by non-governmental organizations;

"Continuing its policies of oppression and intimidation since its establishment, the invading China has destroyed the civilizational heritage of the people of East Turkestan under the name of the "Cultural Revolution" initiated by Mao Zedong and has tried to erase its spiritual values from history. In this direction, historical artifacts that were targeted as "Pan Turkist and Pan Islamist" were destroyed, valuable clergy and intellectuals were eliminated. Nuclear tests were carried out many times in the territory of East Turkestan, disregarding the lives of people, and the Muslim Turkish population was tried to be destroyed by compulsory abortion practices. Since the time it took over the government, Chinese terrorism has always continued to attack the Chinese people in general, and the peoples of the regions they occupied such as East Turkestan, Tibet and Inner Mongolia in particular, with the excuses of "terrorism, religious extremism, separatism". The persecution practices that continue today, as in the past, do not look like inhuman Nazi methods," it was stated.

"THEY CANNOT CONTACT WITH THEIR FAMILY"

In the press statement made, it was mentioned that the rhetoric of the occupying China, which voiced the discourses of justice, peace, equality and anti-imperialism, has the opposite character;

"Since 2017, Chinese terrorism has kept more than 8 million East Turkestan Turks imprisoned in so-called "education camps". This fascist genocidal practice has also mobilized many organizations and states that defend human rights in the international arena. Chinese terror still perpetuates Nazi genocide practices and keeps torture camps open. In our age when free mass communication is widely used in the world, East Turkestan people living in the diaspora have not been able to communicate with their families since 2017," it was added.

"WE INVITE TO STAND AGAINST THIS OPPRESSION"

By being invited to stand against the persecution while the joint press statement made by non-governmental organizations is concluded;

"Let's not forget that what happened in East Turkestan; It is the result of a treacherous attitude taken against all Muslims, all Turks and all humanity. As the International Union of East Turkestan Non-Governmental Organizations, which fights against oppression in the diaspora, we would like to announce to the whole world that we will fight for the freedom and independence of the people of East Turkestan by resorting to every legitimate means. On behalf of the people of East Turkestan, we call out to the whole world who defends "justice and human rights". We expect the entire Islamic world and the Turkish world to stand by the Muslim Turkish people of East Turkestan. We also call on international institutions and organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Turkic Council to show solidarity. all parties; We call on China, which maintains its racist stance with the excuses of "terrorism and religious extremism", tramples on human rights and freedom of belief, and establishes a "contemporary Nazi camp", to take action to discourage these practices. We invite everyone to listen to the human rights cry of the people of East Turkistan and to stand against this oppression that has been going on for 72 years," it was said.
