The congress, which was attended as a single list, started with the opening speech of the Chairman Mustafa Köylü. Stating that Cansuyu Association is trying to fulfill the responsibility assumed in the best way, Köylü said, "I would like to welcome our esteemed members who have been carrying the responsibility of this association for 16 years and their love in their hearts. In 2005, you gave your shoulder to a very weak body. Today, this body has become a certain brand of Turkey and maintains its presence among the first 4-5 major associations of Turkey. We continue to grow periodically every year. For the last 2 years, we had a concern about the contraction of the economy during the pandemic period and the inability of people to see their jobs. On the contrary, our association has grown a little more than the growth trend of previous years."
"WE HAVE GIVEN PRIORITY TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD DUE TO PANDEMIC"
Köylü also conveying information about the aid activities, "We distribute food that refugees can eat fast. We are trying to provide exhibitions, blankets, tents, and shelters to cover under them, along with foodstuffs they can cook when they settle in. We have food distribution programs periodically during Ramadan. However, in the last 2 years, a large amount of food demand has come during this pandemic process. We witnessed a boom in demand for people who worked daily and lost their jobs. We have been distributing before Ramadan for 2 years," he added.
"WE ESTABLISH ENTERPRISES IN THE COUNTRIES WE WORK"
Stating that one of the areas that they consider most important among aid activities is victim aid, Köylü, "Last year, we slaughtered thousands of shares in dozens of countries and distributed meat to the needy. In the first years of our establishment, we worked with a policy of entering and leaving the regions for seven years. We quickly entered the regions that experienced the victimization and made our help and left. However, since the eighth year, we believed that we should put our signature on every country we work in, and now we are establishing institutions. We are establishing schools, madrasahs, mosques, complexes and hospitals," he said.
MUSTAFA KÖYLÜ RE-ELECTED AS CHAIRMAN
After the speech of Chairman Mustafa Köylü, items on the agenda were evaluated one by one, and then elections were initiated. As a result of the voting, while Mustafa Köylü was re-elected as the President of Cansuyu Association, the board of directors consisted of 9 people. While Cemalettin Lafçı, Murtaza Özkanlı, Abdülkadir Özkan, Hasan Yaşar, Muhammet Polat and Ahmet Yorulmaz, who were in the current management, were re-elected as members of the board of directors, Medet Bulut and Halil Adıgüzel were elected as the new board members.
