MESKON Founding Chairman Aydın Gonultas and Vice President Hakan Berktas, "Due to the fragility of the Turkish economy and the high interest rates, we cannot attract our investors to any region. The ever-increasing exchange rates and the depreciation of the TL put our export potential, which is dependent on imports, into a difficult situation. In this context, in order to invest, interest rates should be reduced, production, employment and added value should be provided," they said.
Malatya Education Health and Culture Confederation (MESKON) Founding Chairman Aydın Gonultas and Vice President Hakan Berktas stated that they set out with the identity of an economic non-governmental organization that is qualified, produces added value and guides in all matters on behalf of our country.
Gonultas and Berktas, "Our confederation seems to have been established to take into account the general picture of our economy and to carry out studies for the locality of Malatya. But our point of view, our perspective is very broad. Unfortunately, we cannot attract our investors to any region due to the fragility of the Turkish economy and the high interest rates. The ever-increasing exchange rates and the depreciation of the TL put our export potential, which is dependent on imports, into a difficult situation. We will bring forward what we can do at this point, in the context of our country's economy in terms of investment, employment and added value. We may seem like a local confederation, but with our goals and the perspective we will draw, we will work with all our strength to increase the added value we will provide to our country's economy on the axis of our region, to grow our country's economy, to provide production, investment and employment," they added.
UNEMPLOYMENT SOLUTION WITH VALUE-ADDED INVESTMENTS
Gonultas and Berktas, "We want investments to be made not only in Malatya but also in every region of Turkey, and organized industrial zones that work hard to be established. The solution to unemployment, which has become chronic today, is possible by establishing factories that produce high value-added products in every region of Turkey and increasing employment," they said.
Emphasizing that Malatya is a city known only for apricots is a shortcoming, Gonultas and Berktas said, "We have pears next to apricots, we have dishes that leave their mark on gastronomy. We need to open ourselves up to foreign countries that are not acquainted with our apricots, which are used in the cosmetics, medicine and pastry industry, and improve our exports. We will pave the way for all entrepreneurs in Malatya, enable our businessmen from Malatya to develop their trade with each other, and bring together our citizens who are not aware of each other in their work on economic platforms and our young entrepreneurs on social cultural platforms."
