“WE BRING PEACE TO CYPRUS”
Saadet Party Malatya Provincial President Mustafa Canbay, reminding what happened in Cyprus 48 years ago, "The 48th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, which ended the Greek atrocities in Cyprus and brought peace and security to the island. We gave hundreds of martyrs and brought peace to Cyprus. The 48th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, in which the Greeks, who shed the blood of our Muslim compatriots for years in the ancestral land of Cyprus, were declared their limits, is being commemorated. In July 1974, when the persecution of our Muslim compatriots reached its peak, the then prime minister, Bülent Ecevit, on behalf of Turkey, the guarantor country, went to England to discuss the Cyprus issue. Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, the leader of the Milli Görüş Movement, acting as the Prime Minister, and the government partner of the time, the Chairman of the National Salvation Party (MSP), convened the National Security Council with an urgent agenda code and gave the order of that historical operation to the Chief of General Staff of the period, General Semih Sancar, to set off the ships," he said.
“I CELEBRATE THE 48TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CYPRUS PEACE OPERATION”
