Mohammad Al-Darawi, who lived in the Gaza Strip under the blockade of the occupying Israeli Regime, was released in 2011 as a result of a prisoner exchange between HAMAS and the Israeli regime after staying in Israeli prisons for many years. 42-year-old Palestinian ex-prisoner Mohammad Al-Darawi told our newspaper about the events he lived and witnessed in the prisons of the occupying Israeli regime.
Mohammad Al-Darawi from Gaza, who told the Milli Gazete of eleven years that he was in the prisons of the occupying Israeli regime, "If Allah had not helped us, we would not have been patient in any way. With the help of Allah, we were able to be patient and resist the occupation. If the spirit of this holy cause were not on us, the Palestinian people, we would not have a chance to resist. These prisoners were arrested while trying to protect the Palestinian cause on behalf of the entire ummah. Our captives are willing to pay the price. Therefore, it is our duty to support them, to be their voice and to announce their experiences to the world," he said.
"IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO BE EXECUTED FROM FREEDOM"
Mohammad Al-Darawi, explaining the reason for his arrest, "I was arrested for my resistance activities because I love my homeland, defend our rights and want to protect our people," he answered.
Noting that detention was a very difficult process from the beginning to the end, Al-Darawi said, "Humans are created free. It is very difficult to be deprived of freedom. Another point is to stay under the control of the invaders. This is also a very difficult thing. You could face death at any time in Israeli prisons. In any case, the occupiers do not have any respect for any rights," he added.
