Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalçın continues his objections to civil servant salaries, which are formed after the announced inflation figures. Drawing attention to the fact that the announced inflation figures do not reflect the truth, Yalçın said, "There is an inflation of 14.6 percent announced. However, we know that this is not the real inflation in the field. Food inflation saw 19 percent. Looking at the taxes, it increased by 9.21 percent. The minimum wage was increased by 21.56 percent. In the light of these figures, we see that the real inflation is not difficult to calculate. I want to make a call from here. The Public Employers' Committee should give up this unnecessary insistence on the table.

"PURCHASE POWER OF PUBLIC OFFICIALS FALLED"

Stating that the purchasing power of public officials has decreased in the light of the latest data, Yalçın said, "When we consider the inflation figures and the fluctuations in the dollar exchange rate, we see that the purchasing power of public officials has decreased. He addressed the government, saying, "The application of a raise for public officials should be considered as soon as possible, just like the package application made to various sectors that fall under the government."

Yalçın, who also made evaluations about the contracted personnel, which has become a chronic problem in the public sector for many years, said, "The number of contracts in the public sector has exceeded 400 thousand. The difference in personal rights among contractors in the public has reached 20. This issue should also be put on the agenda. "There is a matter of transferring the auxiliary services class to the general administrative services class. We will continue to bring these to the agenda."
