Saadet Party Sultanbeyli District of Istanbul President Fetullah Bülbül spoke in a press release titled "We Want Our Overpass Back" in Ahmet Yesevi Neighborhood.

Speaking at the press conference attended by the citizens of Sultanbeyli, "During our visit to the tradesmen in Ahmet Yesevi and Mehmet Akif neighborhoods about a month ago, we encountered a situation that made both the residents of the neighborhood and the shopkeepers of the region very difficult and helpless. As Saadet Party, we saw that the only overpass with a disabled lift between Samandıra and Kurtköy was canceled and no alternative passageway was allocated," Bülbül said.

“WE ARE AT YOUR PRESENCE TO BE THE VOICE FOR THIS VICTIMIZATION”

Fetullah Bülbül said that the cancellation of this overpass, which is the only way for students, elderly and disabled citizens to reach the district center, caused great suffering.

"When we asked our neighborhood headman and then the officials of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Sultanbeyli Municipality about the situation, we witnessed that everyone referred this problem to others and that no one came up with a solution. Although our neighborhood headman applied to various institutions with 1,780 signatures and 48 petitions, we saw that they did not receive any positive response. As Saadet Party, we are in your presence to be a voice for this grievance," Bülbül added.

“WE KNOW THESE SOLUTIONS ARE NOT DIFFICULT”

Fetullah Bülbül stated that no information was given from any institution or authority while this grievance was occurring.

"The previously active underpass should be put into use, the relevant institutions should provide rent support to our tradesmen, and our tradesmen should be exempted from garbage and signage tax. We would like to thank our members of the press, shopkeepers, residents of the neighborhood, mukhtars and heads of civil society for their participation," he said.
