In the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the Republican People's Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) held their weekly group meetings.
While CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu harshly criticized the government, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli responded to the 50+1 percent debate and rumors about the People's Alliance.
CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu responded to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement, "We wrote the book of the economy", Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Let me read a page from the book of economics they wrote. Zafer Airport gave a guarantee in dollar terms in the first 8 months of this year, and they said that 877,488 people will fly from here. 5,725 people used it. The money that goes to the gang of five from the state treasury is 4 million 650 thousand euros. This is what Erdogan's book says. I call out to my brothers who voted for the AK Party, they are stealing your great effort. I also call out to my brothers from MHP. As much corruption as there is, the first to applaud is Mr. Bahçeli. Have you ever heard the MHP call tradesmen and farmers? How did one of the most established parties in this country come to this?"
Kılıçdaroğlu clarified the call for 'forgiving each other', "We will healt the wounds caused by the people of February 28 and say goodbye. We will say goodbye to our headscarved girls who are put into the persuasion rooms. We will say goodbye to Roboski. Law is one thing, forgiving each other is another. The state will pay compensation to people, but we will also say goodbye. We will say goodbye to the victims of Sivas and Kahramanmaraş. We will say goodbye to Diyarbakır prison inmates. We will say goodbye to the Romans whose neighborhoods were usurped and exiled. We will say goodbye to minorities groaning under wealth taxes, victims of the events of September 6-7. We will say goodbye to our soldiers and their families who were dragged by the courts. Today we will say goodbye to our brightest minds who have migrated to London. We will say goodbye to Ali İsmail Korkmaz's family, Soma. Our young children were hanged from right and left by the putschists in this country, we will say goodbye to those people," he added.
“WE PARTICIPATE IN THEIR GOOD AND BAD DEEDS”
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, referring to the 50+1 percent statement by Presidential High Advisory Board (YİK) Member Cemil Çiçek, "The democratic legitimacy basis of this system is 50+1 percent,” he replied.
Responding to the rumors of cracks in the People's Alliance, Bahçeli said, "We are partners in the people's alliance, both in its good and bad deeds, but we are together. There is not tension between us and our President, but there is love, respect, understanding and trust."
