Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Sabri Tekir stated that the Covid-19 test of Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu was positive and that he was quarantined at home, and that he held the meeting instead of Karamollaoğlu due to his health condition.

“THE GOVERNMENT DID NOT SURPRISE OUR NATION WITH ITS EXTREME CONFIDENCE”

Reminding that he had warned the government by expressing his concerns about the economy at the press conferences organized by Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, Tekir emphasized that his concerns would continue if the existing policies of the government were continued.

"The government did not surprise our nation with the excessive and unmeasured sense of trust that came from being in power for 19 years; heart wished that this time they would bring the hopes of those who gave hope to themselves to green. But it didn't happen, they didn't, and they showed that they had no intention of doing it," he said.

“19 YEARS OF TRUST WASTED”

Reminding the electricity, natural gas and fuel price hikes before and after the New Year, Tekir said, "Even before stepping into the new year, with the electricity, natural gas and fuel price hikes announced in the last hours of 2021, in the first hours of welcoming 2022, they did not appreciate the bright days that could lead to hope in 2022 and did not give the desired hope to our nation. It wasn't enough either; With the steps they took in the first 5 days of the year, despite everything, they succeeded in failing the trust of our beloved nation, which has given them credit for 19 years! Here are the hours before 2022; these days when the winter conditions are the most intense; Natural gas was increased by 25 percent, electricity was gradually increased by 50 percent to 130 percent, diesel oil was increased by 29 cents, gasoline was increased by 61 cents, and LPG was increased by 78 cents."

“TURKSTAT FIGURES SHOW THE ECONOMIC DESTRUCTION”

Emphasizing that the data announced by TURKSTAT and the air that the citizen breathes in the bazaars and markets are different, Tekir reminded that the inflation announced by TURKSTAT is 36 percent,

"Although TURKSTAT announces annual inflation as 36 percent, the inflation figure, which is an indicator of the gravity of the independent research institutions and expressed by our citizens, is at a level between at least 60 percent and 80 percent. Even the inflation rates given only by TURKSTAT; By listing numbers and numbers one after the other, it is enough to explain the economic destruction caused by the government, which wants to treat the citizens and alleviate the pain of the crisis, and it is already increasing," he added.

“IT WAS ALSO SEEN IN 1994 AND 2001 CRISES”

Reminding that the government constantly gives examples of what happened in the past, Tekir noted that as a result of what has been done, the government has actually taken the citizens back to the old period.

"We regret to state that monthly inflation in our country has been in double digits for the third time in the last 30 years. The other two, if we refresh our memories, were seen in the economic crises of 1994 and 2001, which the government never let go of its language. As a matter of fact, it can be stated that the 2001 economic crisis is a crisis that paved the way for the AK Party government and is still a crisis that the power is constantly fed. The annual 36 percent inflation is also an indication that the AK Party has reached the levels before it came to power," Tekir said.

Pointing out that the government gives examples of other countries regarding inflation figures, Tekir said, "We cannot ascribe this picture to our country, which has a magnificent history and a great state tradition; I hope those in power don't like it either. Nor should they be ascribed. It is not enough to camouflage the failure to try to find an example of its economic failure by saying that 'the highest inflation figures have been seen in the United States in 40 years, in Germany and Spain in the last 30 years, and in the UK in the last 12 years'. Inflation in these countries varies only between 6-10 percent. So don't we have the right to ask this? If you see Turkey among developed countries such as America and Germany; Why did we come to the same point as Suriname and Zimbabwe?"
