Ergün Atalay, who was elected as the President of Türk-İş Confederation, made a call to the employer and the government regarding the 2020 minimum wage negotiations.

Ergün Atalay, who was re-elected as the Chairman of Türk-İş Confederation after the general assemblies held last weekend, made a call to the employer and government side regarding the ongoing minimum wage negotiations to determine the 2020 rate.
 
Minimum wage workers and their families, including 20 million people is concerned, therefore society a large part of the eyes of the talks and stated that they are on their own, saidAtalay and continued, "Today the minimum wage concerns 20 million in Turkey. I hope we meet at the point we call, and we will sign something under which people are happy. However, the officially determined cost of living is a figure below 2,578 liras if it comes to the table we will not be at that table."
 
Let them try to make live on for two months at minimum wage
 
Atalay, who harshly criticized the claims that raising the minimum wage, would lead to workers' downs, directed the question to both the employer and the government: "There are employers that we are organized, who do their job properly, but there are also employers who do not get enough. I always say, let's give them the money, let them try for 1 month or 2 months; If they get along, let's all shut up. At least those who say this is less money, we will give our best if they say no problem. Let me close somewhere, including me, let's see if we can get along with this money?"
