The purchasing power of the citizens continues to decrease against the bad course in the economy that started with the pandemic.

In the statement made by "Memur-Sen" Labour Union, a call was made to see the demands and expectations of public officials during the ongoing budget negotiations and to take steps to meet the needs.

It was stated in the collective agreement that the proposal to return the parts exceeding 15 percent in the tax against losses should be implemented.

LOSSES WILL BE FELT BETTER BY THE END OF THE YEAR

According to the statement made by "Memur-Sen", it was stated that despite the salary increases and additional supports, public officials suffered significant losses due to the lack of adequate regulation in the Income Tax segments in the supplemental budget and the insufficient amount of subsistence paid to public officials in the face of current conditions.

It was underlined that the losses will be felt more deeply towards the end of the year.

INCOME TAX TRACKS SHOULD BE REGULATED FAIRLY

Reminding that the revaluation rate to be applied was determined as 122.93 percent, it was stated that concrete data on income tax brackets emerged with the determination of the rate.

It was pointed out that with the Revaluation Rate, both the minimum wage and the public servant would suffer serious losses.

It was underlined that fixed incomes will fall into both 20 percent and 27 percent after the salary increase.

In front of this, where it is certain to prevent losses, it was requested to implement the "Return of the part in the tax exceeding 15 percent" presented at the Collective Agreement desk.

There has been a call for a fair regulation of Income Tax brackets.

PERMISSION AMOUNTS MUST BE MADE ACCORDING TO DAY'S CONDITIONS

In the statement that drew attention to the inadequacy of the per diem amounts, it was stated that the per diem amounts should be arranged in accordance with the conditions of the day, and it was stated that the current figures could not meet the function of meeting the needs of public employees.

In the statement, "The subsistence amounts, especially the relocation costs, transportation expenses, accommodation and daily amount; Considering today's market conditions, it is seen that it will be insufficient in meeting accommodation, travel and similar expenses. Therefore, the amount of subsistence paid to public officials should be increased at least by the revaluation rate and should be brought in line with the conditions of the day," it was said.
