Felicity (Saadet) Party General Chairman Temel Karamollaoglu attended the 7th Ordinary Congress of his party's Diyarbakır Provincial Presidency. Karamollaoğlu, who was welcomed with great interest in the city, was accompanied by Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Serafettin Kilic in the programs.
Stating that the Kurdish issue is one of the leading issues in the country, Karamollaoglu reminded that as a party, they put this issue on the agenda and they do many studies on it. Karamollaoglu underlined the need for a change in mentality for the Kurdish issue to be resolved.
"The beginning of a mentality change in a country starts when party leaders dominate the language of politicians. If you call your opponent a traitor, there will be no negotiation environment. People are free in their ideas, thoughts, beliefs. These freedoms are also guaranteed by justice. This is the foundation of our belief," Karamollaoglu said.
“PROBLEMS CANNOT BE SOLVED WITH VIOLENCE”
Expressing that they are completely against violence, Karamollaoğlu stated that violence will not solve the problems, on the contrary, it will cause new problems, "If this is not realized, they fall into the category of oppressors. We have to solve the problems by sitting and talking, not by violence, threats or pressure," he added.
“WE ARE AGAINST PARTY CLOSINGS ON PRINCIPLE”
Speaking about the party closure case against HDP, Karamollaoğlu said, "We are against party closure in principle. National Vision (Milli Gorus) is the most exposed to party closures. Our party of 4 was closed for various reasons. However, despite all these closures, we continue on our way without any change in our ideas and basic principles. Therefore, if you do not respect the choice of the people in a country, you will incite discrimination knowingly or unknowingly, and deepen the division."
