With the postmodern coup of February 28, whose anniversary we left behind, Turkey entered one of its darkest periods.

With February 28, which was realized with the cooperation of domestic and foreign circles led by the USA, both the country's front was blocked and the current political, economic and foreign policy environment was prepared.

One of the darkest periods of Turkey, which has witnessed many coups in its nearly a century's history, is February 28. While elected governments were dismissed with the postmodern coups of 1960, 1971, 1980 and February 28, thousands of people faced years of grievances. While Turkey's history of coups harbors dark relations, betrayals and unsolved murders in the same pot, the political picture that emerged on and after February 28, the events in the world and in our geography shows us that we need to remember that dark period again.

One of the darkest periods in the history of the Republic of Turkey is the February 28 period. For our country and Islamic countries, the events that led to February 28 and what happened after that process are more important. As a result of the political events in the country after 1980 and the developments in the world, Milli Gorus, the main view of the nation, became stronger.

After the legendary municipal services, as a result of the general elections held in 1995, the Welfare Party became the first party. After the Refah Party emerged as the first party in the 1995 Turkish general elections, the Refah-Yol government was formed on 28 June 1996, despite all the obstacles.

Legendary work was accomplished with the Refah-Yol government, which was established under the Prime Minister Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan Hodja.

BALANCED BUDGET MADE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TURKEY'S HISTORY

Starting the day with the news of a raise almost every day, Turkey did not hear about the increase during the Milli Gorus government. There was no increase in the Milli Gorus government, and no additional tax was imposed on the people.

Not a single penny of domestic and foreign debt was taken, and some of the existing debts were paid. By establishing the pool system, the state was saved from the capital fathers who exploited the state and stopped unnecessary interest payments. Wasting was prevented. For the first time in Turkey's history, a balanced budget was made and investments were accelerated.

In addition, the Milli Gorus government, which accelerated spiritual development, implemented many programs with the motto of "ethics and spirituality first".

WORKERS, CIVIL SERVANTS AND PENSIONERS SMILED

With the Welfare Party's coming to the government, the face of Turkey changed; workers, civil servants and pensioners smiled. Legendary raises were made to workers, civil servants and pensioners without paying a penny of debt and additional taxes. The civil servants received a 130 percent raise in one year (So when Erbakan Hodja came to power, the civil servants who received 100 were paid 230 a year later.) In 1996, the "minimum wage" was increased by 101 percent.

With the conclusion of the collective bargaining negotiations in a record time of three months, as the worker wanted, an increase of 102 percent was achieved in salaries. 116 percent real raise in one year for civil servant retirees. A real increase of 121 percent was made in one year for retirees. Bağ-Kur retirees were given a 221 percent real salary increase in one year.

FARMERS, INDUSTRIALISTS AND TRADES BREATHED

The funds allocated from the budget to agricultural support were increased by 150 percent; Wheat, hazelnut, beet, tobacco and all base prices increased up to 312 percent. A 100% increase in fertilizer support was achieved.

The prices of the agricultural purchases were paid to the farmer in the short term. Officers, workers, pensioners and farmers saw money in their pockets and the shopkeepers laughed. Tradesmen credit limits have been doubled. It was made easier to pay premium debts (not like now, without adding interest). The bureaucratic barriers to the luggage trade have been removed. Industrial production was increased from 30 percent to 90 percent. Border trade was developed.

STRONG FOREIGN POLICY

The Refah-Yol government, which displayed a personal foreign policy, did not only revive relations with Islamic countries; D-8, the cooperation organization of Islamic countries, which will be considered the first step of the Islamic common market and resonated all over the world, was established. The PKK supporter Hammer Power, which is believed to be unstoppable by everyone and everyone, has been removed. 20 million dollars were taken from Libya, which has not been received for years. Erbakan Hodja, contrary to the custom, visited Islamic countries, not the USA. An example of an independent and dignified dental policy was shown. The internal and external circles that wanted to block all these services took action and the steps of February 28 were taken. In the following process, Welfare Party was closed by the Constitutional Court on January 16, 1998, after 8 months of litigation.

ERBAKAN DID NOT CRUSH THE WILL OF THE NATION

The actions of the Refah-Yol government in the political, foreign policy, economy and spiritual fields disturbed the Western and pro-Western circles. After the D-8, which was established under the leadership of Turkey with the great efforts of Hodja Erbakan, the Western world, especially the USA and Israel, began to openly express their discomfort.

These groups, led by the Western mentality, their supporters and the media in our country prepared the preconditions for the postmodern coup. Baseless accusations against the government were made in the media; His attack on Islam and Muslims began. Despite all this, Erbakan Hodja did not act as if other politicians were dealing with the junta, and stood firm and did not oppress the will of the nation to some high-ranking soldiers under the influence of the USA.

GANG OF 5 AT WORK

According to the protocol of the established Welfare-Yol government, a rotating prime ministership was envisaged. Erbakan Hodja will be the prime minister in the first 2 years of the Refah-Yol government, which will last for 4 years, and Tansu Çiller will be the prime minister in the remaining 2 years. However, in the process of February 28, as a result of the provocation of some media under the control of the imperialists, the junta members and the 5 civilian gang that looks like an NGO, Tansu Çiller's term as prime minister was brought forward for the welfare of the people and the homeland. Thereupon, 282 deputies signed that Tansu Çiller would receive a vote of confidence. President Süleyman Demirel, who ignored all these signatures, gave the task of forming a government to ANAP Chairman Mesut Yılmaz instead of the True Path.

HISTORICAL SPEECH OF ERBAKAN

The Welfare Party, which left its mark on the nineties with its services and rallies against oppression in local governments and the 54th Government, was sued on 21 May 1997 by the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, Vural Savaş, on the grounds of "acting against the principle of the secular republic".

The Welfare Party was dissolved by the Constitutional Court on January 16, 1998. Milli Görüş leader and Welfare (Refah) Party Chairman Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, Şevket Kazan, Ahmet Tekdal, Hasan Hüseyin Ceylan and İbrahim Halil Çelik were banned from politics for 5 years.

After the Welfare Party was closed down, the historical speech of Milli Görüş leader Necmettin Erbakan Hodja:

"As you all know, the Constitutional Court has taken a decision about our Welfare Party and has just announced this decision. The event is actually an extraordinarily simple event in the course of history. For this reason, we must comply with the preservation of peace and tranquility more than ever. The Welfare Party, which is the party of an enormous part of our people in Turkey, and its cause are not affected in the least by these decisions."

TODAY'S POLITICAL, ECONOMIC AND FOREIGN POLICY ENVIRONMENT HAS BEEN PREPARED

After 28 February, the Welfare Party was closed down. Some practices were put forward, almost as if a war was waged against Islam. The current political, economic and foreign policy environment was prepared by dividing the National Vision movement with and after February 28.

ERBAKAN HOCA PROVED THAT THE COUP ORDER CAME FROM THE USA BY ENCRYPTED LETTER

As in every coup in Turkey, it was later revealed on February 28 that the main actor was the USA and the Western powers. National Vision leader Necmettin Erbakan revealed the encrypted letter sent by the US to the US Embassy in Ankara, proving that the US was behind the coup.

In the confidential and encrypted letter that US Secretary of State Warren Christopher wrote to Ankara Ambassador Marc Grossman in October 1996; It is ordered that the USA is disturbed by the actions of the Refah-Yol government and that the Refah-Yol government should be removed from office as soon as possible.

In the letter signed by Christopher, Ambassador Grossman in Ankara is asked to force the pro-US soldiers in the TAF to remove the government from work and to plan for this.

WHAT WAS WRITTEN IN THE ENCRYPTED LETTER?

The important parts of the secret and encrypted letter written by US Secretary of State Warren Christopher to Ankara Ambassador Marc Grossman in October 1996, 4 months after Refah-Yol came to power, are as follows:

"Our department is deeply concerned that the Turkish government, inspired by the national tendencies and the ideology of Prime Minister Erbakan, is reorienting its foreign policy away from the West and towards the Arab and Muslim world. In our opinion, Turkey's current stance on strengthening its ties with Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria and Sudan is against our national interests (hostile). Since the True Path Party has failed to moderate Erbakan's radical Islamic rhetoric (commitments), his coalition with the Welfare Party seems unproductive. We believe that Tansu Çiller's withdrawal from the coalition will overthrow Erbakan and lead the country to early general elections. Although the result is not certain, the Welfare Party will most likely come out of the elections stronger than before. Turkey is bound to remain the key strategic partner of the United States, and our success in achieving and maintaining this position will directly affect our national interests. The Turkish military must be compelled to take action to make greater efforts towards achieving this result. We look forward to your action plans and comments on this matter."
