"Hak-İş" Confederation and its affiliated unions extended a helping hand to Ukrainian workers and their families who had to leave their country due to the conflicts.

"Hak-İş" provided assistance to the Moldovan National Confederation of Trade Unions, ITUC and EPSU in delivering refugee workers and their families.

Making a written statement on the subject, "Hak-İş" Confederation Chairman Mahmut Arslan noted that they see it as their duty to help victims wherever they are in the world.

"We think that all the oppressed in our country, in our region, and in our world are indebted to Hak-İş. We continue our work with the sensitivity that Hak-İş owes all the oppressed in our country, our region and the world. HAK-İŞ Confederation continues to fulfill its responsibility to stand by the aggrieved and oppressed peoples," he said.

ARSLAN CALLS FOR PEACE

Arslan also called for restraint on both countries regarding the ongoing conflicts.

"As Hak-İş, we want the Russian Federation to stop the unjust and unlawful occupation of Ukraine as soon as possible. We want all conflicts in our region, especially Russia and Ukraine, to be resolved through peaceful means," Arslan added.
