A Turkish court convicted a person on for insulting Saadet Party leader Temel Karamollaoglu and punished with 1,740 Turkish Liras.
Mahmut A., who lives in the Akyazı district of Sakarya, has written insulting comments in the social media account of Saadet Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu. The court explained the decision and punished the person.
Before the June 24th elections, the Saadet Party filed a lawsuit at the Ankara 10th Criminal Court of First Instance with an insulting interpretation made under a photograph of Temel Karamollaoğlu. As a result of the lawsuit, the court gave Mahmut A. a fine of 1,740 TL which corresponds to 87 days of judicial fines on the grounds of 'insult'.
